LBZ I remember reading those threads before they were deleted. Cooper's, Cycle Jerks, Paradise RV or any of the many auto dealerships around, their all the same smug fake smile while they take your money and enjoy screwing you over at the service counter.

No I don't believe it dying one bit, out of all of the forums I surf this is the most lively forum, maybe because there are a lot of people that actually know and met one another, partied and got drunk with, so the playful banter is frequently seen on this site compared to the others.

The thing that bugs me about this site is, Mainly the issues that get deleted about vendors that no ones knows if it was resolved or it's still a issue with the parties. I've seen the samething go on other sled forums but the vendor steps up and defends their position, usually get locked when it goes to far. Not here it gets deleted right away. Yes these issues are in our backyards so awareness is IMO very important.

At the end of the day Snow and mud is still my favourite over Dootalk and snowest. There is more comradery over here and best of all this is a Canadian site. The riding area thread info is second to none, 100% of my trips planned were from info on this site.
As far as the tech side of the threads I have members on here that I pay close attention to what they have to say, just like the other forums.

Post something negative about Martins and see how long it stays up? Lol
Fella posted his negative experience and was deleted right away.
Funny how that happens!?

Exactly. And it goes even farther than that even. Its funny how if you mention that you bought your sled from a dealership that is quite a ways away from you, or dare to shop around a bit on price......and watch how quick you get jumped on. Anything other than going to a supporting vendor and paying full price is unacceptable. Its almost to the point where it doesnt even have to be a post against them, but if its something that isnt in their interest you get the same reaction.

I don't really blame them for pulling some of those threads. There is 3 sides to every story and unless both parties are present to state there claims then it's not really fair. Anyone can go on the Internet and beak off a business. I'm not saying all those threads are incorrect

That's BS Max.
If there are three sides, let them defend themselves, or explain the situation each from their side not delete it before there is a chance for everybody involved to say their piece. Pulling the thread completely makes it look like either favoritism or someone has something to hide-unless it's purely racist, name calling or a personal attack. And even then just clean it up. No need for an out-right delete. I've seen a few times where a customer and a vendor got their wires crossed but it didn't come to light till it hit the board and they worked it out. That's how it's supposed to go down.

Also if a vendor has wronged someone, maybe there are others with the same experience but never spoke up before and if so, I want to know about it so I don't get burned too. Also if a vendor gets repeated complaints, it shows a trend.

The vendors pay to keep this site operating, we don't. Of course they get preferential treatment! Fact of life, deal with it!
