Hun..
Ahhhhhhhh maaaaaaan! Missed it by one!
Hun..
That's BS Max.
If there are three sides, let them defend themselves, or explain the situation each from their side not delete it before there is a chance for everybody involved to say their piece. Pulling the thread completely makes it look like either favoritism or someone has something to hide-unless it's purely racist, name calling or a personal attack. And even then just clean it up. No need for an out-right delete. I've seen a few times where a customer and a vendor got their wires crossed but it didn't come to light till it hit the board and they worked it out. That's how it's supposed to go down.
Also if a vendor has wronged someone, maybe there are others with the same experience but never spoke up before and if so, I want to know about it so I don't get burned too. Also if a vendor gets repeated complaints, it shows a trend.
The vendors pay to keep this site operating, we don't. Of course they get preferential treatment! Fact of life, deal with it!
I don't really blame them for pulling some of those threads. There is 3 sides to every story and unless both parties are present to state there claims then it's not really fair. Anyone can go on the Internet and beak off a business. I'm not saying all those threads are incorrect
Hun..
This is the main reason that these type of threads are removed and deleted. Like Maxwell said 3 sides to the story. Sometimes the story gets stretched a little to make their story more than what it is. Maybe not but who knows? On the other side who says that anyone would believe the respondents reply. It gets to be a real he said he said thread and at the end nobody wins. Over the years that how we decided to deal with these threads. Some may not like that but that's the way it is.
So moral of the story here at Snow and Mud is say nothing bad ever about anyone that screws you over, rips you off or lies to you because it will just get deleted especially if it's a supporting vendor to protect the financial interests of the site. Got it.
Sounds like a site run by politicians.

I agree to a point. But if a $hitty vendor fails at giving good service or repeatedly rips people off or lies, etc. then for the good of the site they aren't worth having around IMO.I think having a site to use outweighs having a few threads deleted. Or I guess we can pay for it ourselves and read about all the crappy vendors?

If ISIS owns a sled dealership and pays the full cost of running the site through advertising fees but rips people off are they worth having as a supporting vendor? Extreme I know but you get my point.
LOLHahaha. Extreme? Noooooooooo.

Let's see how long this one lasts.......LOL
Well Maxwell seems to be assuming in his statement that every vendor is going to get complained about and then leave the site. This simply isn't the case. It just exposes the $hittier ones, or possibly $hitty customers by leaving the threads up. There are people out there that you can never ever make happy even if you gave them what they wanted to buy from you for free!!
I also have no doubt this site would have no trouble finding supporting vendors to fill the void. One site I mod on we turn away people that want to advertise all the time because simply they can't be trusted and we do it to look out for our members. This is also on a free site.
I understand it is in the best interests of the owners to protect their paying vendors/advertisers, but for quality and content sake, sometimes it's necessary to cut the cord.
That song is as bad as Boggers Qwack Qwack song!
Nice. Real phuckin nice! Now, look what you went and did.
