I bought a 3000 watt Honda inverter with the two wheel kit this morning. I got a great deal at Honda Extreme in south Edmonton. I thought about parallel twin 2000's but a 3k price tag was bit much for me.

Not sure if anyone is looking but local dealer is selling 3000w inverter yamahas for under 2000 new...think 2000's were in the 950 range but would need to verify

It was $2400 OTD for just the generator. I added the two wheel kit which was $250, and he knocked $50 off that. $2601.90 for everything.
I'm happy with that.

Not sure where you are, but that's a hell of a deal. Argyll quoted me $2395 for a pull start model 3000w inverter.

A little off topic but has anyone tried adding a 3000 to 6000watt pure sine wave inverter to their tow vehicle with a deep cycle battery. Something I've been thinking about.

I added one to my trailer no issues. If your running items that draw a lot of Amperage it will draw your battery down fairly quickly. Why do you need such a large one ?

Well if you add one to power everything like a/c 13500 btu, you would need 3000 plus.

Adding it to your vehicle you would be able to charge.

Only down fall would be fuel consumption of the tow vehicle. It would be about double of a generator. For the same amount of time.

This guys install is a little messy but its the same idea.

This is in Regina..1995 for the 3000...949 for the 2000

canadian tire just put a yard works generator on sale 3500/4200 watt with remote start for only 599.00 weights around 135 lbs. guarantee to start on the second try at -15 degrees. with a 4200 start up should get most air conditioners up and running.

better get a 400 foot extension cord and 3 sheets of plywood to quieten that one down.
