We know nothing can or will ever compete with BRP! But if they are so strong and so reliable why is there so few in the mountains?JS

Plain and simple - Cost. When you can only start with a 120 or a 137 and need to stretch everything, and then add atleast a solid primary clutch to the machine, all comes down to how bad do you want it.

Well Ski doo never came out with a mountain version of the 1200,, 2 prototypes were built. They were NA and 530lbs add a turbo, be around 560lbs. woulda been a cool sled but never came to market. Any 1200 turbo mountain sled that was built
was a 1 of a kind 50,000$ sled. Not alot of people want to spend 50k on a sled. Plus not to many people could even ride
a 400hp sled. Just one of those things thats super cool to see but most likely never own.

Like I said already 250hp is more Hp then most people will ever need in a mountain sled,, but it is really cool that people
like the Micku's and grizzle boys and powder lites,, had the money and talent to build and ride these sleds.... BTW these are all 5year old sleds now,,, Nothing against the nitro,, 300hp 174 those things are insane... 1200 is even crazyier,,, Nypex's are way more common to see tho,,, those things are nutz..Why would any one put a apex motor in a nitro?

Stronger motor thats why,, guys that want 350 or 400hp nitro go that way,,, they are f#ckin nutz also...
Wish I had The cash to build one of those,, Not an every day sled but early season deep pow shoot climbing they would be the ch!t...(exelent sled for long cocking your friends..lol)

Now a days I can find m1000 stage 3 turbo sleds for like 6500$ again not a sled that I want to ride every day but a cheap fun hill climber to piss around with forsure...

Now Im just rambling,,,lol sorry

I myself prefer the apex platform over the nytro, and I do ride my boondocker every day. You are right in the fact that most people would never need anymore than about 250. The only place I use mine close to its capability is in chest deep powder. The fun factor is amazing!!!

As you all know, we are developing standalone ECU but we also decided to sponsor a few guys in drag racing Here in Québec and we made our debut this weekend. Here is an OSP hardware matched and tuned with our Standalone ECU. in this particular race we finished second in the promax class(most competitive in Québec.....up to 650 hp sleds). this nytro is boosting 36 psi for now.......just too bad in the final we almost flipped over launching and had to let go the throttle!!

This is from another forum - hope the Vidio works...
