Start up after sitting would be more wear that shutdown!. Things dry out when they sit, even with oil. Some oils are better for storage. (like fog oil)

ok at start up your motor is pumping oil at max pressure., at shut down minimal pumping pressure, little oil?

You wont have max oil pressure at start up. It takes time for oil to go through the system and come up in pressure. It has to work its way up from the pan.

Imagine holding a 50' garden hose. Turn on the water and what until it comes out the end. It will take a second or two. Same as your oil pump pumping oil through the engine. Now shut that hose off. The engine will be off before you lose all oil pressure.
