On our ice fishing shack in Sylvan Lake we had a drawing of a guy hanging in the gallows, with a message saying "Nothing in this shack is worth your life." Seemed to work nothing was ever stolen from us.

Instead of a gun get a fully auto paint ball gun with frozen paint balls. A couple hits from that will smarten them up.

I use to play competitive paintball in the CXBL if you've heard of it. Freezing the paintball actually makes them more brittle, and break easier, and dimple them and make them go where ever they want. Only thing i can think of is put them in the semen tank with the liquid nitrogen and they'll get like rocks.

But again, paintball guns will be classified as assault with a deadly weapon or something.

On a side note, there was just a discovery of over $300,000 worth of property, and the kids were still in high school.

I am curious, how far did these guys come into your yard? Did they just sit at the end of your lane or come up around your house?

But anyways i will wait for a reply before i say anything.

As far as protecting yourself. If setting up a gate at the end of your lane is not do-able for you i think the best thing is to try and capture images of anyone that may rob you. It would probably be the best bet for ever getting anything back. And if you have concrete proof that something was stolen i.e Pictures, video. you may have a easier time with insurance.

Driveway alarm = $40
4 Piece wireless security camera set (Weatherproof) = $309.00
(Overlook driveway, front and rear house entrance, garage)

small investment to protect your property.

They came down my lane, and into my yard, drove into the back of my yard by our Quonset, barn, fuel tanks, and then turned around and drove off.

But as stated above, the camera would see the people in the act, and may help getting my possessions back, but it wont stop them. If they're going to take it, they're going to take it. And i don't want to give them the chance to take it. I don't want to go through the headache of trying to get back all my stuff. IF i even get it back.

mark everything with an identity # and take pics of everything, for identification, and insurance.
That i am going to do, and mark down exactly what is on the item for aftermarket and identification numbers for parts as well. It is pathetic on what we have to do these days. There's always some people in the world that give everyone else a bad name.
