I don't know much about f@&k all, and I try really hard to steer clear of provincial and federal politics because it knots my guts, but the one thing I do know is that Horgan is a complete f@&king goof, that was not actually voted in as our "leader". Teaming up that meatplug Weaver to pull off a non confidence vote against the Liberals was 16 century foolery, but it got them in. Granted, they do have the support of a small, extremely loud band of brainwashed leaf lickers, but most of the protesting is being done by paid advocates from out of country...true story. Horgan is on the take, and Weaver is a tool, team them up, and we're totally f@&ked. The majority of the people here actually support the pipeline, unfortunately the nay-sayers have the loudest voice and carry the lion's share of media coverage, 'cause that's what sells newspapers. I really do hope you guys stay true to your words and stay home this summer, the Island is getting busy enough without the red plates.

i'm with you on that , but i'm thinking the western part of the country is screwed, and we had better stick together or we all slide down the slippery slope.

Maybe I missed something here, but....Boycotting Crannog Ales? If you could elaborate (genuinely curious...)
They have signed an open letter to Horgan voicing their support of his opposition to the KM pipeline expansion. Check the link Ferniesnow posted.

Thanks for sharing Doug, most are small businesses I have never dealt with and have no intention of dealing with however I did see a couple of brands that I will quit supporting. Unfortunate because their product is superb but here we are: Salt Spring Coffee, Crannog Ales and Natures Path Foods.
If anybody is going to boycott specific businesses because of their political stand then you need to let them know you are doing it. They will never notice a few sales dropping off but if they get a bunch of negative comments on their facebook/social media pages they might take notice. Just be polite and concise so you may be taken seriously.

I did that to a trucking company 1 week prior to rig move because one of their employees stance on the grizzly hunt in BC. Wasn't about the stance that was taken but how it was vocalized referencing hunter to be murderers. Only cost them about 200k in the loss of a rig move. I'm sure they noticed that

I try not to fallow politics because it so out of hand, It’s so rediculous that bc is hammering albertians with a new home owner tax when we know it’s the new comers to the lower main land that is causing the problems with money laundering and driving the housing markets. Get rid of them, get rid of the problem.
The fight over pipelines, pensions and power needs to stop! We need a leader that will crack the whip and call a spade a spade, what’s best for the country is what’s best for the people, we give into the natives, green wieners and all aspects of the squeaky wheels way to much.
we need to run this country in a profitable fashion if we have any chance of becoming the best place on earth. Right now I feel we are in the worst position possible.

100%, country needs to be run like a profitable business again.
Time to let the adults take charge again.

I work in fernie and live in Sparwood and I can see the highway from where I work and HOLLY CRAP its busy. Making a left hand turn to go to Sparwood is taking my life in my own hands. Tons of people coming in for the long weekend so I don't think too many people changed their plans and decided not to come to the east kootenays and that was yesterday.... today going to be even worst

Yeah, I was chuckling about that yesterday driving down the highway. So fawking many red and white plates it makes you wonder if anybody is left in Alberta? Not a very successful boycot.

Lol your right, Ive said it in a earlier post, there is lots of people who dont care or understand how important the KM expansion is.

I recently got out of the oil and gas industry and into a different one, just listening to my new coworkers talk about it is amusing.

I still believe that new upgraders would be better for all of Canada, especially Alberta But thats a long ways off forsure.

Cruising to Revy this morning at 630 thinking how good the highway looks for a Friday of the long weekend. Get to Revy and realize it's because anyone with an RV just camped here last night. Doesn't appear to be any boycott from what I can see.

Yeah roads were gong show. Definitely not worth it to come out for 2 days. Can't believe how many are willing to do it.

I feel sorry for the Alberta people returning home on the hiways today. So many BC'ers driving around today heading home , sorta makes most Albertans feel like A NASCAR driver trying to navigate thru herds of cows standing around on the road, seemingly mindless with no real destination in mind !!
