I think everyone should just chill out and take their time. In the end you save 10-30 minutes? Not worth the risk to yourself and others.

I ran some numbers on this today and just think if you travel everyday doing a mere 10-20km over the speed limit, this over the course of a year could save you over 41hours a year....a whole week of time just by going 10-20km faster....just saying.

traveling with a gps go check what your average speed is. It’s quite sad to think you will never ever come close to the posted speed limit traveling in traffic.
lots of fun facts on traveling speeds when you brake em down.

one of my favorites, if you hit a deer going 100km would it make much of a difference if you hit it at 80km? Supposing the deers jumped out at the same time and you were doing 120km or 70km well beound the estimated impact time both speeds would of missed the deer....does speed kill? You take your chances. For me traveling at any speed your taking a chance.

At 10-20km over how much more fuel are you burning? Acording to the lieometer in my 1 ton diesel its noticable. Same with buddies gasser. So save time and burn more fuel or do speed limit save fuel and get there on time with planning.
For the deer thing the slower speed would give you better reaction to avoid swerve and braking distance.

It's true that at a slower speed you may have more reaction time but if your going faster you'll kill it and it'll go over the truck and land in the box and in an hour you'll have it skinned out and ready for dinner and come home a hero.

Depends on the road I guess. But when im on Stoney trail in Calgary during rush hour, just trying to make it home alive and some A-hole fly's by at 160,
kinda pisses me off. Happens 50 times a day..

How much time are you going to save if you are dead or in jail for killing someone?

Whats wrong with pedaling a bike, it's one of the best way to truly see mother nature at its best next to walking. Personally i prefer walking(hiking) the back country then pedaling the mtn bike.

Bring your fuel with ya boys! It's getting expensive here. I might have to do my camping in the US this year. Most state parks are 10 bucks a night and fuel is way cheaper.

Went up 3 cents this week. Yours must be even more ridiculous.

They just started that wall. It'll be all summer.

We were $149.9 but last I looked it’s around $1.45ish...I load up at the card lock so you have no idea till the bill comes at the end of the month...hate driving by a gas station, it’s like there teasing you to loose your mind.

OK, i was wrong, i'm suppose to go to Calgary to visit a sledding friend, forgot about that. Question is, i would like to go on the bike but is that a good idea?
That stretch from Revy to Golden is stupid, how about from Golden to Calgary, is it worth it for those that have done it? Any advice?
Or should i just use the truck and live to tell about it LOL.
hmmm...a thread with a similar topic was recently posted on ADV.

Drunken talking to yourself tee???
I had to go look at his thread in the Basement on ADV...sure enough, it's Lund sh!t talking Albertans. he's got some weird obsession with Easy Rider, posting photos depicting him as the easy going biker with BC plates riding through a land of rednecks and fearing bodily harm while in Alberta.
