I just talked to a buddy that went down to lake kookanusa and had someone pass him on a double line.. yes there was a nice cop right there and got a ticket. Right on!!!! On the next day he saw another guy pass 3 cars on a double line just as a ghost car was coming the other way and that fine driver also got pulled over. Right on again!!!!!! What the puck is wrong with some drivers!!!!!

I'm not from BC, I don't agree with the "Child-Cott" crap since its stupid,,, no disrespect to stupied either.

The majority of our nabours on both sides of Red Neck Alberto are awesome people,,, we have more in common then one might think.

They are hard working folks, family orientated, and they put up with us Peck Woods. LOL.

Our brothers and sisters didn't ask for us to "Child-Cott" them, they rely on us as much as we rely on them,,, the wiser word to this is "Us," Both of us as we are the ones left holding the crap the powers that are that stirred up the mess.

I ain't "Child-Cotting" Frack All since many of my friends live out there, BC has been my home play ground for 30 + years and will be till the day I'm gone.

If people choose to "Boy-Cott or Child-Cott," then more power to them.

I like my Alberta, but I love my Canada more.
Coast to Coast to Coast with our nabours to the South.
There is no divisions in my mind or my life,,, being part of human kind is the better path,,, not sure where JT come up with People Kind,,, guess he grew up on the other Island. Ha

Haven’t changed plans for this summer holidays but can be sure will not be putting as many hours on the boat given the fuel prices. Ndp and liberals too stupid to realize jacking the prices reduces consumption which reduces the tax they collect. Or then again maybe that’s what they want I guess they are saving the world by reducing Canada’s 1.8% of global carbon emissions, lol.

My plans aren't changing, will be doing a few road trips on the bike, Sunshine coast, Duffy Lake rd and checking out a couple of ghost town's, Bralorne and Coalmount over the summer months with other adventure rider's.
In August hauling the boat to Vancouver island for some salmon/Halibut fishing, might get a few days also on the fraser while the run is on.
In Sept heading into Well's Grey park for a week up river with the jet boat.
One thing is for sure, no plans on going to Alberta....LOL...hold on, i never had plan's to go that way in the first place haha, nothing personal.

OK, i was wrong, i'm suppose to go to Calgary to visit a sledding friend, forgot about that. Question is, i would like to go on the bike but is that a good idea?
That stretch from Revy to Golden is stupid, how about from Golden to Calgary, is it worth it for those that have done it? Any advice?
Or should i just use the truck and live to tell about it LOL.

Has it reduced consumption though? I'm not seeing any less traffic on the roads plus with the dollar where it's at Americans have been traveling north again. NDP won't be happy until we are all broke and IT won't be happy until refugees have our jobs

coming back from the lake Monday evening and got passed on a double solid line on a curve in Salmon Arm where there have been several fatalities on that corner in years past. Anyway, brand new Camaro with AB plates. I had to pull off the side to let him back in as there was an oncoming vehicle. Had my grandson with me and it really &issed me off that he endangered our lives just to get in front of me then traffic so he had to slow down to 40 km/h. Next thing he pulls off the hwy going mach 10 so I called the cops on him. Gave plate # etc to make sure he and others make it to destination. Cop called me back thanking me as they are tired of seeing the reckless driver survive but taking others lives instead. Cops were on the lookout all the way to Golden. Total stupidity and no reason. If you got to be back home for work on Tues then leave in the morning like the rest do not at 8 PM still hrs from destination.

I hear you! I filled my boat up first time this year and it took $205 bucks! Ten years ago that was a $125 bill! Yikes!

Coming back from Elko yesterday most of the curves are 60 or 80 had the sxs in the back and pulling holiday trailer had a trucker pass us in Fernie and told to get the f$&k off the road only to sit behind him for a half a hour for bridge cleaning

That section of road between Elko and the tunnel used to have 8 legal dashed line passing areas...most of them were very short. Year by year they started changing to solid line...bit by bit...two years ago the last one disappeared. That was a sad day for me.

I don’t like being stuck behind slow pokes in that section of road. It would be nice if more people pulled over to make way for more capable vehicles and/or drivers. Lots of areas to pull over in that section...only a couple of percent of the population ever do.

That section of highway is in extreme need of an upgrade. They should blast that tunnel right out and 4 lane it all the way to elko.

so what you are saying is that i should speed around the curves and risk my life and others so to save you 5 minutes to fernie where you can pass me in town or pull over and then try to get back on the highway without getting hit

When I’m driving that section of road pulling a trailer, or any section of road for that matter, and I’’m holding up traffic I let them by ASAP.

But that’s what I do...most people don’t.

Yep, if there is no one in front of you and cars are stacked behind your rig, use a pull out. In some states it’s mandatory

I think everyone should just chill out and take their time. In the end you save 10-30 minutes? Not worth the risk to yourself and others.
