I’m not ready to put good ole boys in the same context as new Canadians
I hate to say it but there is a bit of a go fast and hard culture among the young south running bull haulers!I’m not ready to put good ole boys in the same context as new Canadians
there are only 2 insurance company’s in Canada that will underwrite policies for commercial livestock outfits now and the quotes are insane! A young guy with little experience and a newer rig could pay as much as $40k a year! I have a super responsible guy that works on our farm side, I call him a kid but he’s 28 with 3 kids and an excellent hand. He wants to start driving for us hauling cattle and the insurance companies answer was a hard NO! Told him to come back after he has three years experience hailing for us on the farm side! Where I’m going with this is how the F@#K do these young foreigners that can’t even speak or read English get a licence let alone insurance?..
Living in SE BC is see alot of truckers pass through this area and most of them wear flip flops and have head gear on. LOTS of them hammer the jake brakes as they start down the hill going through town.I hate to say it but there is a bit of a go fast and hard culture among the young south running bull haulers!

they own the licence bureaus as well. i have heard that its the elders from the home country that own the rigs and pay all expenses. if they crash a unit or kill someone it means nothing. lots more rigs and more drivers to be had.I hate to say it but there is a bit of a go fast and hard culture among the young south running bull haulers!

They also "buy" a lot of trucks that they never pay for. Put 5 drivers in a brand new truck and run the wheels off it till the finance company tracks it down and repos it. By this time it's worthless. Miled out and never had any maintenance done.they own the licence bureaus as well. i have heard that its the elders from the home country that own the rigs and pay all expenses. if they crash a unit or kill someone it means nothing. lots more rigs and more drivers to be had.
