in layman's terms, what does it say in the second paragraph about heating over 275 degrees? changing the ductile strength etc....
i had them coated at impact coatings. but ice age will coat whatever color you want. but they typically come annodized. i would assume all powder coating processes are the same regardless of what shop it is done at?
impact coatings edmonton did the work as they do for most of the custom shops and alot of sledders. i would be shocked if ice age denied warranty to me because of the coating. but every manufacturer is going to look for a way out its business. however issues like this surface on sites like this and it can give a bad image pretty quick. that being said.....im not saying good or bad until monday when i talk to them. IF they help me out i will get another set and i WILL have them coated again. if not..well...we will see.
i cant even imagine the amount of coated rails running around out there with no issues. i have had TONS of sets done and no issues until yesterday.
Do let us know what happens, I personally do not think its the powder coating. I do think they will be happy to know if they have produced a bad batch of rails, and they can jump on damage control, and re-call, or what-ever
went for a ride yesterday..quick rip up the trail burned a few doughnuts because the conditions were not good aswell as the weather. then came back down. i will be the first to admit when i wreck something. but this has me puzzled. i didnt do any jumps. my sled never came off the ground. IM LOST! these are supposed to be the strongest rails on the market so hopefully iceage comes through with some warranty because i do alot of business with them. i went in the EXACT same spots as my cousin with 174 ice age rails and his are fine. i rode ALL last season on stock 163 rails and never bent them and i BAGGED on my sled.
