I was in gorman on saturday and the snow was very poor for this time of year, I have always went to gorman before the new year and never seen it so skinny

The wind from 2 weeks ago scoured parts of Gorman pretty bad. You'd be just as good riding a quad up to the saddle into Holt, the snow is gone off that climb. There were some fun patches of snow on the weekend but riding down into Lang was a rock fest in some spots, covered by about 4" of snow. Those nasty, broken-off poker trees are only buried about 6-10" in some spots, just deep enough that you won't see them grab your a-arm. Couple of snowfalls with some crowds to pack the snow down over the rocks and it will be sweet.

The creeks in the trees in Lang are open or just slightly covered too.

Was in gorman today. Snow was deep just before the lake. On the lake.... Not much at all. Lots of wind blown crap, tried to get into lang but heavy winds, blowing snow, and no snow turned us around. If you ate going here stay at the lake or lower. Nice and deep in the trees here. We took a run up into holtz valley ----> DEEEP!!!

so we took a quick blast up gorman today. Conditions where great in certain places. Could see that it was really pounded out till this last snow. Most was new snow and wind loaded. In the fresh you could find bumper deep and up to headlight deep. The real snow is in lang side. We cracked a path up to the cross over to quartz running the ridge, as well punch the valley to top of the world. heh after all that we then headed to cirque, didnt drop into it as the wind has taken alot of the snow on that side, but the trail is in... for now. Trees in lang where wicked deep and any east facing slopes. Anyhting around gorman lake, IMO waas low on snow and alot of sled wreckers waiting for you. All in all good day, plenty of fresh to be found if you look.
