Haha yes sir the .17WSM is my new favorite, does a good bunch of damage to muskrats too. Not much for gophers up this way for a few years now unfortunately.

Well yesterday was a very expensive day .... many dead gophers and one muskrat... love my 17HMR for gophers but they need to drop the price of Amo ... oh well picking a case of tea's and a few more boxes of shells and off to do it again !!!

That's the badger spying on me through the grass. Typically see them in dusk. Guess he's a stupid one lol. Make a good mount

Managed to nail some gophers and had a good day Stress relief at its finest

Our badgers are protected. Even if we find a road kill, we have to take it to the CO and maybe/maybe not we can keep it for a mount.

Wish I could see the Pocket Gophers in my yard to do em in. Unfortunately, they must be nocturnal or something. Never seen one. Just the destruction that they leave.

They spend their whole life underground. Requires underground poison to do them in.

I'm at 23 this year, I wasn't aware they were cannibals until last shoot out. 45/70 makes one heck of a mess

You have to trap them with blackhole traps, they work good.

Seen a gopher in town here today. I chit you not. Squeaking away at me by the shop
