.243 with 55 grain ballistic tip hand loads does a number on them. Close to 4,000 f.p.s. Quite safe as well because as soon as they touch anything they blow up! Makes a common cartridge dual purpose.

What's your load if you don't mind.
I try some Varget but they printed 7/8" at fifty yards.

Took the XCR out along with the 10-22 and smoked quite a few gophers today. First trip out. Spend a few hours gaining permission. Farmers were greatfull for the respect and getting rid of their rodents. I'm going back out with some camera gear and my .204 in a few days. Stay tuned.

Awesome, probably gonna go scoop one of those Savage B-Mags tomorrow, hopefully bullets won't be to hard to find, probably gonna by a brick with the rifle if I can.

Well Cabelas in stoon didn't have any bullets at all, they did however the B-MAG in stock. Did not like that rifle one bit. Terrible stock, and a skinny barrell. Didn't mind the action and clip. Gentlemen behind the counter said the first couple boxes didn't group very well but after that it smartened up. Also there is supposed to be a stainless version with a bull barrel coming out later this year in the B-MAG and Boyd's has stocks for it already.

Ya the bmag is no sought after rifle thats for sure, the clip sucks donkey balls, but it shoots very well actually the stainless bull barrel apparently will be impossible to get your hands on for the first while from what I hear but will be keepin my eyes open when the come available for sure

Now that seeding and spraying is all caught up had a chance to go shoot. Got about 50 yesterday on one quarter. Luckily we have lots of peas this year and little canola and no crop damage yet.
