Most dealers want$42000- $46000 plus tax for a 07 with 80000km Sherwood park dodge want $over 60 for thier 08's

That is stupid. My mom was about to pull a trigger on a 08 mega, every single option, offered the dealer 50k all fees, taxes in they wouldn't take it they wanted 52k, this was just before the 09's came out. So it was still the current model year. That was also derrick dodge. I would look around man, that is stupid pricing they will never move them. You can buy a 2010 for 60k like nothing, and a older model with all the changes is taking a huge price hit. My bro bought a 2010 1500 from southtown he was pretty impressed with them, they could be worth a look. Even his salesmen said you could get a 2010 diesel fully loaded for 60k easy.

2005 ram 3500 267,000 KM......BLOWN 6th cyl. replaced injectors once on warr. once out of my own pocket ( 5200.00$$ ). Did the ball joints, too be expected with the leveling kit and the big tires. Dealer told me the 6th cyl is a bad one for overheating because it is so far back. To each there own. Gave it away for 12,000$$ got sick of looking at it. Driving a Duramax now, I suggest you look at one. I really like the bullet proof Allison tranny.

Good luck/////Bad luck,,,,,If its got Tits or Tires ...............:rant::beer::

Mine's an '06 factory ordered QC LB 3500 dually. There is only 65,000km and 2100hrs on the truck. My only complaint is how it breathes. The air box/filter are a joke. Way to much restriction. I use a K&N drop in filter in the summer and clean it regularly. The other little issuse is the blow by tube off the crank case. This sometimes freezes off and creates a vacum then thaws out dumping oil on the gound ( about half a cup ). It has done this twice since new. Other than that it's been a really good and dependable truck :d

The crank case breather (blow by tube) has been a minor issue since at least '94. The tube end would freeze off in extreme cold and pressure-up the oil system... the oil would find the weakest link to blow out of, normally the dipstick tube (sometimes pops a seal). I had mine freeze off when highway running at -40C, I had stopped at my destination and noticed an oil trail from the truck. I opened the hood and found oil had sprayed everywhere and the dipstick was pushed up about 6". It lost nearly 10L of oil - luckily I caught it before it totally ran dry! After topping up the oil, the local dealer cut about 6" off the tube and I never had another issue! I always monitored engine temps, used an adjustable winter front, and since then tarped in below -40C. This happened at around 50K and the truck ran perfectly until it was written off in a header with a semi at 195K (not by me). I have trimmed this breather hose on every Cummins since...

I have an '06 3500 SLT SRW quad/short.
Replaced front and rear driveshafts on warranty, right front axle shaft, warranty, serviced trans every 30k or so. ARB bumper, 12.5 K winch, 177 K on the truck in the oilfield. Have never changed ball joints. Yes, have had them checked.
Truck has intake, exhaust, Edge with attitude chip, Mag-Hy tec pans on trans and rear diff,
Pulled 18K trailer for 2 years, no trans problems either. Replaced rear calipers and rotors etc last spring, highway only since then. Brake problem my own fault for not installing caliper guards from new, but inexpensive fix anyway.

If I could get $ 22K out of it, would replace with a new one, just 'cause I like the new Laramie cab.
Anybody wants it, email jkann@shaw.ca

2006 mega cab Laramie with 6 speed manual.
Replaced 1 injector under warranty. Then the injector pump started leaking at the pump half split. It could not be repaired so new one under warranty..whew!
Replaced front engine seal, coolant leaks repaired, front end done.

One thing for sure, the next one will be a one ton. Pulling my Exiss horse trailer with 4 horses loaded up, I get tired of being flashed by high beams all the time.

The arse end sinks way too much with this kind of a load. Too bad my 01 quad cab doesn't have as much room cause that old girl does :common001:not drop an inch with the same load !
