Well this window is closing and its not getting better. Still 22% left out to bring in. Today warm and wet and about the same consistency as continuing to combine through a rain storm. Those who tried today plugged their Sieves with ground up wet gunk. The feeling of frustration is now an understatement. Snow possible for tonight maybe it will end the misery and we can move on to something else.

Sometimes that is better but everyone is wired differently unfortunately. I'd be cancelling Christmas on the off chance we could combine that day. My neighbor would just say we'll get er in the spring. Don't let it eat you up bud.

snow was light rain was heavy. Gonna drop down to 15 below tonight so were gonna giver. Get as much as we can. A fall for the books. I ve talked to quite a few of age farmers and in 86 years nobody has seen quite something like this but in the late 60's was as close to this as it gets.

I think my Dad told me 67 or 68 was bad like this. Said they spent the whole winter moving grain so it wouldn't heat up.

I think it was Thursday here last week they declared it a lost cause. 50-60% still standing. Tough news to hear. The farmers provide a tonne of income and economy boost here in the peace country.

Heard it’s sad situation up there. Relatives farm just north of gp not even 50% done. Even with a grain dryer
3 yrs ago we burnt 12 1/4’s off in spring. Was the quickest easiest way to solve problem and get seeding so not in trouble again.

Well I know there were some guys hitting the field this am in beaverlodge and surrounding area. The sun did shine most of the day here tho. By lunch I think they would be in trouble.

Well given er was an overstatement. Its just a bit too tough. Wrapping on everything. Need to bit a bit colder me thinks.

Its almost enough to make a guy cry. I have two combines that would normally do 40 acres an hr together were averaging 12.
