Alfalfa does not what to be to deep in the soil. Prepare your seed bed, flat level an smooth. Float on the seed and water the chit out of it.

Personally I would seed it late this fall. when you know it wont germinate. It will get its best start in the spring when things stay moist for longer.

Got myself one of these for the acreage.
Got a great deal so couldn’t turn it down. Came with a 655 rototiller too. Has 200 hours on it, it’s a 2007.

Speaking of pavement, just got it done.

Now have lots of clay to move. They dug out the gravel and recycled asphalt and put it in to a pile then when digging the base out they had to did down 6’ in front of the garage and on the north of my garage. So now they used most of the gravel. Now I have about 36 yards of gravel and 140 yards of clay to use up.

We moved the rototiller to my parents unit which they bought me the i-match quick attachment. They have this as well, We moved the new one to his tractor but the hook even when adjusted is 1 1/2 to low. We moved it to the top as well. Does John Deere have different hooks for the top hook not the two lower ones.
