how long ago was this? Organic wheat has been that high but don't remember on conventional myself.

That is when we sold.
Had a target set for $22 even.
Hit $23 and then dropped like a stone.

actually I do remember it being high for a brief time. At that time some of our organic growers dropped their certification and said they will grow conventional all day at these price. I just don't remember them hitting over $20/bu. Then the crap hit the fan.

Father in law last year bailed over 800 bales by Castor. This year he bailed 260. Been dry out there.

I wonder if anyone stopped to think just maybe the wheat has grown resistant to glyphosate.......

Got hailed out Friday. Gonna make more on insurance than I would have if I could have harvested it lol. Hutts had 7000 acres hailed out and no insurance.

yup, that's the way they roll....the other colonies will pitch in when necessary ....unless it was a negligence where they would be on their own

I'm gonna combine most of it just to process what straw is left. Gonna cut some of my dad's for feed though cause it has more standing and he needs to try to get more value out of it since he wasn't as well insured as me.
