Do what ever you want, but the deadline for trading historical credits closes soon, can be a fair amount of cash if your backdating to 2002..

Looks like wheat midge damage Chance. That damage is done while the grain is maturing on the plant.

I've been in the carbon credits program since it started. Haven't got near the money they originally promised but still its better than nothing.

Never changed chopper bearings but I wouldnt think it would be to hard. biggest deal would be the weight. Post pics or explain what your having trouble with.

The weight is one, just can't decide what the best way to go about it would be. I should have just called it a day earlier but want to get it done and out of the way, time to move on to fun things. I know some JD mechs thinks I will just wait and call one tommorrow. There will be some sort of easy way and some sort of hard way to do it.

Spent quite some time with someone we both know Scotts talking about VRrate he's been in it with farmers edge since they started and he still can't show where it's making him any real gains in production. As far as quality I can't see where varying your fert rate is going to increase quality mother nature has to much of a hand in it. I have found that fungicide is crucial to better quality and will be spraying all cereals next year.

I here ya, is does seem that way. 70bus wheat is the new norm and it wont be long when 50bus will seem like failure. The sperts have spoke and said that while the farmers are more few doing more acres. That they will have to step up the program as people still seem to think they need 3-5 kids so population is not going down and lifespan has not shortened. To be quite honest I'm not sure the world can support this in 100 years.

From what I have seen and heard....good choice.

Also heard of two units demo'd last spring...near BonAccord/St Albert. Conservapak & Bourg Par-link seeded same day, same field, same inputs, same, same...wheat I think

Come fall time, took cart with scales and straight cut. Zero'd the scales made 1 pass, dumped, weighed, checked moisture....did the exact same thing with the other seeded crop....adjusted yield for moisture and there was quite a difference in yield....hard to believe but apparently documented by all parties who were there......

22 bu/acre more with the conservapak :yikes:

Well, I have also added some in-crop micro-nutrients for the past 2 years and have also noticed a difference. I have used a cereal boost product and a canola boost product, both are added to your tank mix when spraying. This the canola boost really shined, not only extra bushells but more important when the frost hit this year, less green seed. My buddy used none and his green seed count was double mine. It is costly but it paid for itself on green seed count alone.

Bounce, You have my attention. I was looking into this in Red Deer at the farm show. What supplier are you using for your micros?
