People have been eating butter since 8000BC according to google.

Khosrova traces butter's beginning back to ancient Africa, in 8000 B.C., when a herder making a journey with a sheepskin container of milk strapped to the back of one of his sheep found that the warm sheep's milk, jostled in travel, had curdled into something remarkably tasty.

And brand name Canola (Canadian oil low acid) rapeseed has been "food" since the 1970's..

So there is that.

If you aren't into cooking with butter use leaf lard or tallow. beef or pork. that way you can cook at higher temps and not scorch the oil. whatever floats your boat.

Lots of crop flatted when on my drive from Battleford to Prince Albert yesterday morning.. didn't look like much hail damage though. Either way gonna make a shitty mess for the combines.

Money talks i guess lol shareholders or board of directors musta seen a drop, but honestly the new equipment has priced itself out of a massive chunk of farms, we were at ag in motion today lots nice stuff but the prices have gone insane 240 grand for super bs 1 mil plus for any combine or large tractor 500 for a fwa with a loader, 7 dollar wheat and 13 canola i dont see how any farm makes those numbers work
