There is some work involved but you can't beat the nice clean dust free environment in the bin. :d:beer:

When we get to the bottom of our small bins we just wire the motor to suck the air out of the bin rather then blow the air up through the grain. Same concept.

I've cleaned out 5 bins already with the vac. Haven't used a dust mask once! I'm loving it!

My family farms around 1000 acres. We plant corn, soybeans, hay, and tri-cow (peas) and Oats. We have a bin that we put corn in now. Still put the Oats and Soybeans on the barn floor it is a beach to clean and swap. So it is nice to have a bin that is easy to clean.

The crops are doing good. Not the best, cause it goes from to much rain to little rain. Late start with all the rain this spring. Now summer is here it has been dry. The garden around the house has been doing good cause it gets watered alot. We been pushing and got most of the hay off.

Thanks. I am still pretty new to having a quad but I will not be afraid to ask any questions.

Yeah, that is true. Not enough rain then the wells and spring start going dry which will lead to trouble for drinking water for the cows. Can't have the cows dropping milking. Then we will be in the poor house for sure.

Just rained Tuesday and woke up to rain again this morning. Another .45 in the gauge this morning when I left for work and still raining on top of our 4 inches Monday night into tuesday. Now the next 7 days are calling for mid 90s to 100s with high dewpoints:(

Sounds like your going from rain to sweat in a day.

Having a dairy farm is living in the poor house. Can't be rich and farm unless you made your money then bought a farm.

Has not rains down here for a couple of days. Been hot.

I know how that is. Grain has got to come off as quick as possible. My family has ran around like chicken with its head cut off to get the grain off. I just worry about the milk and the cows. Leave them to worry about the crops. Got alot money in some of my cows.

Just my opinion, but I can't stand cows Haha.
We weren't able to haul grain this winter, so I've been going as hard as I can to get it done.

I dont mind cattle, my grandpa had a big feedlot for 45 years and I enjoyed helping when I did but he got out of the business about 4 or 5 years ago before the cattle business got tough. He offered it to my dad and I but his equipment was shot and outdated and required alot of repairs and money to get it caught up with the times. Plus we seen the grain side of our operation with a brighter future so we passed on the feedlot.

After all I'd much rather have cattle any day than hogs!!!
