we all get a little dumber each time we read one of these poo vs. Doo circle jerk threads... That's unfortunate for those who didn't start with much mental horsepower to begin with.

pure entertainment value cale.....

No kidding. Too bad these clowns haven't grown up and realized that Yamaha is by far the superior machine. Oh well, boys will be boys 'till their pecker weighs a pound...LOL

Weird, I found the biggest issue with 90% of the mountain sleds is the pilot. All the new sleds will go way more places than they should and are more than capable in the mountains, you just need the right people at the controls.

It's kind of funny when you are riding a stock sled and the turbo guys are struggling to keep up...

There is a lot of truth to that statement!

If I could afford 3 sleds.....a turbo Yamaha would be one of them. Most badass and reliable sled out there. But unfortunately it doesn't fit my riding style 100% and need something more versatile

I dunno I saw a guy who had never mountain ridden before jump on his stock pro rmk first time out and do some mighty impressive high lines, and another experienced rider almost highmark a turbo on a bone stock not broke in XM that he had about 10sec of seat time on so I don't think there is much more to be desired on all of these new mountain sleds.
As long as they get their suitcases removed, scratchers and vent screens installed, driveshaft's clamped and belts lined up properly they all will go farther than the majority of owners need a stock sled to go.

Exactly..... some guys should take an old blizzard 5500 with a .750 track or a yamaha srv from the late 70's like we started riding in Clemina and Allen creek and then they will be thankfull for whats available now...... back then just getting up the trail and to the cabin was the feat of the day.....lol

These new sleds all still need mods, if you are not modding them, you are not riding them to their full potential. They are set up for joe public average ability, if you say the clutching is good enough then you are settling for joe publics average clutching, not something that is going to make your sled excel. They are good enough from the factory they can compensate for lack of talent, but eventually will limit your ability. Stockers are good for going slow in the trees, if you want to take it to the next level every brand needs some mods. I'll keep modding my sleds and going where stockers can't. The original poster was right, factory sleds don't work.

I guess I'm Joe public average too, :( maybe I will just ride at night, so I can keep my poo stock (that includes stock can Maxwell lol), and use my scratchers without shame :)

In all honesty.... that was one of my funnest trips back in 97.
I left my 97 Summit, and my friends left their 97 XLT's at home. I took my 95 Formula SL 500 fan, and they had 94 Poo's, 1 - 440 fan, and 1 - 388 fan long track. We went to the Inn on the Border, in early March. The ride had nothing to do with HP or add on's. It was a great extra long weekend, to see and learn from each other's riding style. I'd love to do that again :D
