I have tried quiet a few different mics so far, One did not even work, it was waterproof. I also have 3 coming. Best one so far is Bridgecom . Two out of the 3 coming look very similar to the Bridgecom. I will let you know how that turns out.

Got a link to this bridgecomm, I wanna take a second look at it.

Hay I have one of those mics too. I have not even taken that radio out yet, nice software for it though. It seems to work better than most. I finally have a few baofengs to try it out will. Give me a few days to get back to you on that.

Do not buy that Bridgecom, let me try the other two look a likes. It might save 40 bucks..who knows.

Ok, so I threw together a couple images for people to use.
One of a UV-G3TP and one of a UV-82HP.

Looking for feedback.
Basic necessities. Not much else.
I put together 5 Channels Sled#1-5 based on the 2M band plan for British Columbia and on a 15Khz spacing rasta as per standard.
I used a tone code as I find this helps with interference in addition to squelch.
I designated the national atv cordnation channel as our HELP! channel.
And then RR channels and all the fluff.

Help! is to be monitored on A.
B is to your mic talking channel, Sled#1-5

This way i figured if you actually need help you can switch to A and when you call someone from outside your group may actually be listening. (if we get enough buy in)

Think I should change the HELP! Channel to 146.460 MHz ? It fits with our band plan, but in the spring alot of the Jeep guys use it. I was thinking make use of the National ATV Cordnation Frequency 144.340 MHz the. If it catches on it will be an easy one for SAR to find as it is layed out well in the band plan.

Hey Mike many # , download this chirp program first and then use it to open the images you got from Google drive.

This is the frequency allocation for amateur radio, "hams" or radio nerds in mom's basement. Lol

You technically should have a ham license...........

What is chirp? I'm really interested in this stuff but you have to really dumb it down for some of us.

Chirp is the program that talks from your computer to the radio via a programing cable that plugs into your mic port.

Gives you a nice way to look at all your programed frequencies without having to punch them in by hand.
