new sled (to me) this year. 2011 summit etec 800 154. picked up used this season about 1600kms. First time going to pull off primary to clean for storage and I noticed (or I think I have noticed) the fixed sheave is off timing with the primary. See photos.
out of balance.jpg secondary.jpg

Secondary seems ok. Front and rear arrows are off and helix lines up with the rear arrow.
Am I missing something here, or does everything seem ok? haven't seen this before.

Anything I should worry about, or issues I could have to worry about? Should I be installing with the correct timing once cleaned or leave it the way it is? Never touched anything since picking it up, only issues I've had is a slight rough idle which goes away once rpms increase and belt picks up then its smooth sailing. From what I've heard from alotta people is thats normal with the early etec summits.

Any help would be awesome.

I would immediately get rid of those clutches. They are pooched. I would replace with a Polaris primary and a Paragon secondary.

I would just line them up proper. When they are lined up they are supposed to be a balanced unit. The clutch half s are on a taper so they can slide together how ever, some one incompetent was probably doing maintenance before.

i dont think its a issue,i purchased parts for my clutch, built a clutch from new parts since no clutch was available for me when i needed it, nothing is balanced when you go buy individual parts, so balancing is not an option, all parts are machined and i beleive balanced so when parts are replaced no issue will be aparent
