They estimate voter turnout at only 42%....lowest in history. Pathetic! Obviously there is not enough people in this province that give a Sh&% about it. We'll see what everyone has to say when thing change.

I voted and I agree, the turn out was embarrassing.

Yes the turnout was dismal but that tells me about three things about the electorate 1. They did not feel there was no viable person to vote for 2. They liked things the way they are why bother to vote or 3. They just don't give a rip. More than likely more of No. 3 which is a scary thing. In regards to the Conservatives about land access issues they may be easier to deal with than the Liberals. I know I have written letters to all partys in regards to land issues and the response I got back from Liberal and ND's was down right scary (restrict land access much more than it is now). So now that Eddie has a comfortable majority he may not feel he has to pander to the Green lobby and Environmentalists to try and squeeze out a few more votes.

I think this is the Anything Goes Forum and to us Alberta folk (at least 40%) the election was important and in some ways may affect were we will be able to ride in the future. Some times you have to dance with the one that brung ya!!
