Yes,,, I purfer rubber tires over studds P.D.,,, warm temps Add'ed a few slippery spots...
20231223_110343.jpg

A few trails ended up with Artisan Spring flow's down & across them,,,, makes for some intrest-ing moments,,, 80 too 90% of the trails are rubber tire friendly...

The fat tire folks packed down some side-hill-curves that turned into glare ice...

The center parts are in good shape ...

Im research-ing a long trail in the Bragg Creek area...

E-assist is useless if theres no Mountain's are involved... lol

Full day up,,, 27 kms of pure glory de-cend'ding ,,, they say...

Pretty sure ill walk around the dangerous section's...

Merry Christmas all

A few of the folks I've chatted with are running partial studded tires because of rotat-ing mass...
20231217_131740.jpg

That and F.T's are chunky bikes too begin with...
Fun bikes none the less...

A few folks are running + size mullet bikes...
Narrow 4" boots on the back with 29 x 3.25's ++ fronts....
Some folks that bought them before they became obsolete,,, alot of these custom units fit into the 36 / 38 + lb range which makes it easier too analog...

20231223_125921.jpg

A lighter bike makes it easier too blast threw the cat-tails and bounce over the downed logs on the trails...

I have a few small things too adjust on my new bike too make it easier too ride on the narrow single track trails...

Readily """hand and speed controls""" is a must if a person want too get better runs at the hills with out fumbling around ...

Be'ing able too jump in & out of basement gears too speed then granny gears too finish a climbs improves the ride at the end of the day...

A person can get away with slow and mellow shifting on most of the standard bike trails...
20231217_125440.jpg

This same can not be said in the steep tight quarter off grid single track areas...
20231203_114800.jpg

Get a run at things """or""" hike-a- bike if a person blows a shift,,, the further one makes it up the hill the less hiking is involved... lol

Triple and Four crown benches makes for a long climb too the top,,, one-way or the other its a good work out...

Race Car or Tractor mode at ones choosing,,, Tractor mode requires alot of energy in the H@B up hill...

Got too run,,, I'm heading over too our East side lake trail (s) too check them out with the low snow pack...

Lots of close too home stuff for now,,, distance runs will fall into place in the new year...

A good festive season too yha all,,, get out there for a simple ride or hike too relax the be-ing with the mild temps at hand...

From the Lem's / Zagg to you,,, family and friends

You using a dropper seat post Don? If not you may want to, game changer. Imo best invention since disk brakes.

Loved my dropper post yep. Put it in climb mode, drop a few gears and fly up the hill. Back down in party mode out of the way for the downhills, was pretty slick
