How was the trail towards the end of the day? Last time we rode there it was great in the morning and by end of day 2’ whoops on the entire way down. Never been so tired. I think both the days we rode though were record number of sleds according to the attendant in the lot though.

I'm guessing you rode between Christmas and New Years. I've been involved with the club for the past 14 years and the four busiest riding days of the year are Dec 27/28/29 and 30. Unfortunately, this Christmas we also had lower snow levels and warmer temps to contend with. Hopefully next time you are out, the trails will be smooth both ways as reported above!

Was our first time there, terrain was amazing and was great snow up high. Still had a great time despite the trail, can only imagine how great it would be during the week!

Rode in one of those you know where spots at Blue yesterday was deep in the trees over on that "other" side. Snowing up top this morning.

It is sliding every where big time, was at Eagles yesterday and people were still hitting the slopes, funny how people think. Because they are in the trees they believe they are safe.
Sorry to advise you but if your on any slope, tree'ed or not, your not safe. The slides are pushing through the trees all the way to the bottom so stay off the slopes.

As a note, Eagles was a cluster Fawk yesterday, going to have to find new zones, too many sledders but worst too many morons. Saw 4 badly busted sleds also, all from trying to be a hero.

Everyone went there cause the fresh that fell

Yes people don't understand that riding trees with the avy danger is worse sometimes

I stayed away cause it just wasn't worth it

Did you not get out yesterday, thought you went to Blue or Griffin?
In the morning we dropped into the gas drop and worked our way back to the little lake. We did not bother climbing back up was too socked in at top and worst sliding everywhere. We did go up a little then changed our minds.
We ended up playing in the trees on flatter grounds, it was DEEP, enough that we all got stuck at one point or another. Glad i had these two young bucks with me, with my bad wing they were very helpful.
We later went to the cabin and what a waste of time, went to the waterfall to end the day.

Went to owls, towards blue, back and around up into eco, back towards cabin

Snow was best by cabin and north east sides

No slides seen, never seen a sole all day till cabin

This "young" buck definitely owes you for all the ski pulls and repeated extrication. Hope your elbow heals up nicely.

It was a great day yesterday, i kinda looking forward to doing this again.
The arm and elbow are sore today but it was worth it, a small price to pay for great fun.

I thought you were done for the season?

Really, for a fractured elbow, hell no. I changed some of our plan's that's all. Only takes 2-3 days for a fracture to start rebuilding and i did this a week Friday, in some cases it will take longer but mine wasn't that bad.
Not that i don't feel it LOL. Its a little swelled up today but by next week should be better.

It's scientifically proven that if you yell like Arnie through the pain it'll heal faster. I'm sure doing it while sledding compounds that by 4.3 times.

EP has gone to chit. Way too busy. It used to be respected as a more advanced zone with bigger consequences for riders that had more experience. Now everyone is up there and most have no idea of the consequences and no business being off the training hill at Blue Lake. The only positive is a lot of them don't know any good pockets and just stay around the cabin.

cabin.....says it all. While I understand the amount of effort that went into the cabin, and its a great cabin, not having a cabin discouraged many of the people from going to Eagles. I think I have been in it twice out of 30-40+ rides into Eagles since it was built.
