dune buggy project

hey guys , just thought i would post this , me and my dad dad are building a dune buggy!:d fully independent suspension , with guess what engine!! yamaha 340 enticer engine yep your eyes dont decieve you! o'l reliable! but were worried that wont have enough power , so we are putting a stinger pipe for a phazer 500 on it and jetting it! and were making it as light as possible , i would post pics of our progress but i dont know how! can anyone tell me? and do you guys think it will have enough power?

all the dune buggy's i have seen all have used vw motors ... so not sure how big you are making it but you might be under powered ... good luck and keep us updated

i figured out how to post pics , so i will post some tonight! all we have is a mig welder and a bunch of scrap metal , so if u have any negative comments please keep them to yourself!!

sorry guys cant post pics because of dial up!!:mad: but we did get the front suspension done today , rear shock yesterday (1 of 2) , the engine is mounted , clutch mounted , the front shocks are off a honda atv and the rear are front shocks off a dirt bike! lots of travel! gonna do the steering on monday.

looks interesting!!!! i know its not finished but curious as to how that front steering linkage is going to work?? post more pictures of your progress when you can!

it has around 8000km on it, askin 1600obo its listed in the classifieds (doitdoit lol!)

the front steerin is the steering is off a yamaha enticer , it works baisicley the sasme as it did on the sled except with a steering wheele!! i will post more pics probably tomorrow night when we get something else done!! thanks everyone!

Good job there yammy wish i could of had something like that when i was kid, we had to play in traffic to stayed amused. lol
