There is a ducks unlimited dinner in Sherwood park on Saturday evening. Need more people to fill some tables. Good eats and prizes and great auction items. 50$ seat. Pm me Sat May 4

Been going to our local one for a few years now. Always a good time

Wish I was closer otherwise we would come, to good of a time not to go. The wife and I probably hit 4-5 of the DU events every year. Do they have open bar in Alberta as well?

I know who I am boycotting !
Agreed. I would not be supporting any group that supports Y2Y. They are going to have to learn to pay attention to whom they give $$ to.

Curious why you would want to throw support their way?

How come the Ducks get a dinner? and what are they having anyways? also why do Ducks get preferential treatment? never thought of them as a visible minority....

I liked ducks unlimited, this is unfortunate.

I wonder if the Y2Y is gonna become a land trust too.

Maybe if we all identify as ducks, then we can be special too.

Ron, I would like to hear what DU has to say about this.

Perhaps an “Alberta unlimited banquet dinner.” Instead of saving wetlands we can save oil patch workers, the silent auction can consist of signed posters from the strip club and oil change coupons from the dodge dealers.
shall we start the ticket price at $60

It is my understanding that when they purchase a wetland, they set the tone for "in perpetuity" or in lay man's terms, forever. They have very strict usage rules and DU owns the piece forever. Another similar situation to the Nature Conservacy of Canada/
