Like EPIC? or CHUTE?

because a 300 ft wide hill is not a chute and 2 ft of powder is not epic IMO.

If they are, then I climb "chutes" in "epic powder" every weekend.

i would say 2 ft of fresh pow is pretty spectacular, maybe not EPIC, but all depends on your point of view. if a person has never ridden in 2 ft of fresh pow, then i guess it would be EPIC for that person

Any day I'm in fresh pow and not in the office is epic, I don't care if theres only 6" of snow but I do agree that a 300' hill is not a chute.

Modman,
I thought you would have figured it out by now but...... Let me help you

Epic...... The snowflakes you see when you look over your computer screen, out the window

Chute..... The narrow view you see when looking out any window or computer screen or picture

Powder..... The stuff you put on your fingers or hands when they get sore from pounding keyboards all day:rolleyes::d

A good pow day is 3', epic is 5'+

A chute is spot on any hill that a sled can't turn in and is a make it or break it deal:d

I think we should define what 1', 2', 3' etc. actually is. I've rode in 12'' - 18'' then when i get on my computer I find out that other people were riding in 3' in the same place I was that weekened. Sledders are worse than fisherman.

Epic - for me is snow over the headlight all day

Super Epic - is over the lead dog on the helmet :p

Chute - is what I scream when I know everyone is on the Hwy going sledding and I'm stuck at work

Just looking for clarification............ Keep seeing threads with these comments on "epic" snow amounts and I get all excited and start thinking I might change my riding destination for the coming weekend..... then they post pics with 8" of new snow.......

I consider this epic, if you don't your just spoiled lol. :d And for the record the snow just over the ridge was wind swept and maybe 8" deep. Never think that just because you did not find it someone else did not have a great day riding. ANY day on the snow is better than in the office

"EPIC" is in the eye of the beholder. Let's not make this an "Elitists" only forum by having to meet qualifications to post that we've had a great day of sledding. I've had some excellent days of of sledding this year but I guess in some opinions I have yet to have an "EPIC" day. A bright sunny day away from work, with enough snow to ride and no wrecks...in my book, that can be considered "EPIC".
