I get about 14.6 L/100km city/highway mix commuting to work with my Eco. Pulling my 27' enclosed it ranges between 22 to 25 L/100km depending on the wind. That's with 3.73 gears.

Like I said mt the only thing that shines is acceleration kills all the small block halfers. Runs door to door with the big blocks mileage is same as everybody else's truck

5 star tuning.com makes a low boost tune for city driving, I dont know if it works but good theory anyways.

I just think it's sad that the Ford is able to make these ridiculous claims of 30+ mpg. It sets you up for a big dissappointment when you're not going to get even mid 20s. Must be using a 2wd, shortbox, no stereo, cloth seats, over-inflated 80 series tires and the wind tunnel set to suck instead of blow.
I've read that the eco-boost has a payload of 3000 lbs. Can you put 2 sleds and a deck on those?

inlaws.....after driving it back to him I was still sitting in the 15.5-15.6 range, towing the trailer to white court I got 21

that's not bad actually..... I think eventually we'll replace the Dakota with a 1/2 tonne.

Can't see any half ton with a 3000lb payload.
Most 3/4 tons won't carry that much

I've never got the rated economy with any vehicle I've owned, so I wasn't surprised with my Eco.

I was impressed, but not overly impressed with the mid range power in the truck, the bottom end isn't bad but I found in the mid-high range rpm's it just didn't pull like the titan does at all, it was a decent hauler, handled the trailer well, has a great ride. but still not 100% sold. though dodge is up on the list. but at the same time this being strictly a weekender truck for towing the trailer and the sleds in the winter I may just say screw the mileage and get another Nissan.....my truck has more than proven itself to me. it may be in the shop right now but it took 275000 hard kms and less than stellar maintenance to get her there and it still has the power it had right from day one.... that said I am also thinking of maybe a 3/4 tonne for possible future upgrade to travel trailer......so all that said I am still very un-decided

It's not only ford that makes unrealistic mileage claims. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone getting the advertised mileage with their vehicle. Worse than that is the guys that claim they are getting 30mpg with their 3/4 and 1 ton diesels. Dream on. Best I have ever seen with a diesel is the mid 90s 12 valve cummins they could get close to that but the new ones best I have seen on any of them is low 20s after have 3 dodges and 5 chevs and 1 ford at our shop and none get over 23 mpg
Half ton carry 3000lbs maybe a reg cab with the tow package. Might have that but anything with the supercrew will only be 1200 probably max could weigh mine and find out I guess

I hand calced mine from revy to red deer and that's what I got, and by no means was I trying to get good mileage ... Cause really who give a crap! It cost what it cost. But I was pulling my 10000# trailer at 120 and I passed when I wanted to pass. But I don't drive like a d!c I was just keeping up with traffic.
To me diesel is the only way for me! Ill never go back. Mega Cab is the chit IMO. But it don't fit every where!! But like I always say " it's not a problem when ur the problem "

I Just bought a used 2011 F150 XLT 4x4 with a Regular cab, the 5.0L, the long box and the heavy-duty payload and trailer package.

Its GVWR is 8,200 lb and the payload is 2,708 lb. I plan on putting a Truck Boss on it and carrying two sleds...legally. The ecoboost would be a similar payload, with the only difference being the engine weight and the Cab/Option packages.

Pretty awesome as chevs 3/4 is only 8600 I think.
