i'm not trying to stir chit or start a pissing match as I have never driven one and have nothing to go on. BUT you are the only person I have seen so far that is happy with an eco boost. I know of 3 people in the trades that bought one and 2 went back to the dealership to trade in on a 5.4, and the 3rd went to dodge. I have been looking closely at 1/2 tons as i'm going to be in the market for a weekender/trailer hauler, and after the things I have heard I have just about written the eco boost right off of the list. steering more towards a dodge

we just bought a 5.0 super cab 4x4 2012 got a steal of deal.... i've never driven an eco boost but I drove from Hinton to Abbotsford on one tank of Gas... loaded with the whole family and the dog... got almost 1000k to a tank... same on the way back... its no diesel... doesn't drive like one but its nice all the same... albeit im still one of those guys that misses my diesel... the lio - o meter said anywhere from 12-14.5 l per 100 km at about 115km/h honestly the truck surprised me... imop it would make a great weekender if your not hauling far or heavy loads i think mine is 3.55 gears if I remember correctly... same mileage as my 2002 cummins

The reason you can't get the fuel economy numbers tht are advertised on any new vehicle is due to the test procedure that is mandated by the government is unrealistic as no one drives like there test

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAAAAAH

breathe..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

I Just bought a used 2011 F150 XLT 4x4 with a Regular cab, the 5.0L, the long box and the heavy-duty payload and trailer package.

Its GVWR is 8,200 lb and the payload is 2,708 lb. I plan on putting a Truck Boss on it and carrying two sleds...legally. The ecoboost would be a similar payload, with the only difference being the engine weight and the Cab/Option packages.

hasn't been that way for the last 2 years until recently. it will probably go back once winter comes and the demand for diesel quadruples again
It's been that way for the past couple of years, here in the South. Winter fuel has been more lately. But I was paying $1.43/L, 6 years ago, which made me take my foot out of the oil pan.
