i'm looking to delete my 13 duramax because i have had nothing but problems with all the emissions crap. I got 3 very different prices in Lloydminster. Tailored Diesel $1350 J&R automotive $2150 and westridge GM $3450 and thats for a full delete (DPF DEF EGR Exhaust) and no power tune. I wanted to get the GM dealer to do the deletes because then i keep my power train warranty. What are others paying for this?

I've heard good things from some guys about the Stettler GM Dealer, maybe give them a shout?

The deletes without a tune a generally the more expensive kits, due to the costs of the sensors.
Youll keep your warranty with the install dealer, be cautious of other dealers tho.

I wouldn't believe the dealer when they say full powertrain warranty. if you have a catastrophic failure and GM gets involved, they won't warranty a deleted truck. if your dealer wants to foot the bill for a 20g engine replacement then awesome but I personally wouldn't be surprised if they came back and said "sorry we can't pay for this"

Yup it's all covered. And it wasn't the by pass valve, it was the outdoor air temp sensor. It was telling the truck it was -40. Fixed now but it still feels doggy. It having a hard time getting over 140. No I don't drive that fast but it should govern out easily.

My 13 is out of warranty now and I'm dying to do the deletes. My fear is that emission laws will end up biting me in the azz and I'll have to undo $3k of work.

I can see the emissions laws going after the "corporate fleets" long before Joe Diesel Owner

NDP in Alberta are trying to push through legislation that would involve pretty steep fines for modifying the emissions control on any vehicle, personal or commercial.

IMO: the NDP in Alberta should all go choke on something and die....... however that is my opinion.......

I'm in the same boat.... once my warranty is up I want to delete my RAM

I can see yearly inspections on cars and truck myself. Imo its not a bad idea. Lots of junk on the roads in AB that would never pass a yearly inspection in another province.

As a deleted diesel owner (for mileage and power), I would like to know more. Do you have any links/documents or know of the individuals who are proposing the legislation? If this is the case, it's time to start getting fully informed.

In 2010 conservative MLA's passed a motion proposing a vehicle maintenance and inspection program. It would have targeted vehicles 10 years and older and heavy duty vehicles. Obviously didn't go any further.

It's all good anyway....I'll just take it to Ric's certified inspection facility....wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
