People are deleting semis, combines and tractors here in sask, pays for the fuel savings so quick, no more trouble codes shutting us down not to mention the giant totes of def we need to buy. Last diesel was deleted and once i get a few more kms on my new ford it will be getting done to.

The DOT inspectors that inspect and certify garages/shops for inspection facility status, have always said the govt is working on legislation for emissions and for vehicle lifts. They want a maximum 3" lift for trucks, and mostly stock emissions systems..... this has been in the works for I'm guessing 10 years, and still not any closer than before, to even proposing a new bill. I don't think I'd be too concerned or worried, however, they are cracking down on vehicle lifts over 6"(including body and suspension lift, total over 6")...

Keep the old parts, that way if you ever need them you can slap them back on.

As soon as you put a new tune into any of the new trucks there is no going back.. they can tell what you have done. If they plug in and see your truck was pushing out 1000ft/lbs of tourque when it failed you are getting the shaft.

Truck is out of warranty, so it's just for resale change of regulation.

Cause trucks with 6 inch lift drive like junk

Yep.. And usually when you see guys with 6" or bigger lifts they cheap out on stuff like steering stabilzers and stuff like that.. Like I did on that old truck I had... If you were taking a corner and hit a bump they are all over the place. Depending on the truck, You dont really need to anymore anyways.. my 17 is was taller stock than my 16 with a lift on it.

When I plugged a programmer into my 16.. My touch screen went blue and started reading off a bunch of stuff saying my warranty was now void and bla bla bla. Even if you load the stock tune back in they can still tell you have done it. My buddy had an 2012 durmax and ran an edge programmer on the highest stage, then plugged a tuner into the CPU and turned it all the way up and piggybacked the tunes... used to suck the fuel filters dry and shut the truck off lol. One day he grenades the transmission... We pull the tuner out and take the chip out and all eveidence of it... Put it back to stock.. Took it into the dealership.. The guy plugged into the computer and we were watching from the window.. He looked at the screen.. started laughing.... and then waved two more buddies over to see the screen also... lol

lets hope they don't start mandating emissions tests and annual inspections like they do in a lot of states. What a frigging nightmare and ripoff that can turn into!!

I was referring to possible future emissions testing, he said his warranty will be over.

I ran a 2010 ford from brand new with full delete and Spartan tuning. Not cheap and one of the best ford tunes out there. I ran the 275hp tune as the daily driver. Best mileage and power when you needed it. Ford built their trannys to take a lot. GM...well i have one now and not sure of their ability to absorb a lot more.

Drive like junk...... If you cheap out and don't do it properly. Just like a stock truck with worn out parts will drive like junk. I had a 8" lift on my older Dodge, drove as good as stock. Obviously other then being mindful of extra height it drove exactly the same.

But yea when you see people with 6"-8" lifts with short arms, single steering stabilizers, stock track bar with just a drop bracket, etc and most importantly are aligned like crap, it will drive that way. Most alignment shops don't have a clue how to align a truck with that kind of lift, which is a huge part of the problem. Spend the money and get the right parts, it will be as good as stock. But then again, most lifted trucks are bagged to hell and driven by idiots so not many are actually nice trucks.

Not sure about GM but the Cummins CAN be deleted with sims. Not the route to go in my opinion, but can be done.

Used to be able to unplug sensors and put resistor in its place to fool the truck into never doing a burn then u could run a delete pipe seen people do it and no tuner needed

No such thing as a delete without a tuner....
