Tonight is what they call festival of lights here in mcbride. Lots of stores are open late and such and there is a parade aswell.

Cougar den cabins are located almost at the staging area of lucielle, you could ride your sled from the cabins up lucielle without much issue. They have a hot tub and they are also a supporting vendor on this site.

hey, i'm thinking about riding mcbride the 29th and 30th of december. me and the g/f will be coming for a little getaway but she is an inexperienced rider and never rode the mountains befor. if anyone else is in a similar situation and wanna tag up for a ride that would be awesome. let me know and maby we can make something work.

Where would u guys suggest going for the day on the weekend kina new to mountain ridding but was had a 2000rmk in g 7 an was out rideing that sled for a couple years needed more power so got the m1000 . Pissd around with it at the farm an it should be enuf power for now I wanna go rip up some powder tho I'm from Edmonton but will drive several hours to do some good ripping

If you are new to the mountains, Belle is your best place to start. Hopefully you are not riding alone. If you are, you should try to hook up with some other riders for safety. The town is full of sledders this weekend and you should be able to find someone that will let you hook up with them. Your other smart alternative is to hire a guide. My bro and i will be at Mcbride 29-1st will be riding Lucille good spot to go. Ive been there a few times it will be the first time for my brother your welcome to join us if you want. Lucille is a good short run to the top lots of places to play in the trees and do some climbing it has it all..
