i hate to ask the obviuos question but if it was icy and snowcovered why not utilize a machine that works great in both......perhaps some type of powered snow toboggan and park i a safer location. Looks to be more than enough snow for such a invention

funny guy. Lol

The hill that is causing the problem is right behind a corner so you don't really have time to observe the conditions. Also, the hill is not that steep, but extremly icy. When we got out of the truck it was difficult to stand on in some spots. But sledding up is definatly the answer to prevent this from happening. But some sort of warning sign could be very effective.

The lowest level of powder i heard of taday was 3ft of fresh.. the guy that were up luceille said they were upto there chest in fresh when they got off of there sleds..

We rode Luceille Sun and my buddy got stuck in three feet of fresh just 15 feet behind the cabin. It was almost a perfect day (couldn't see). Lots of fluffy to play in.:d

This was not the sled trail they were stuck on and like someone already mentioned, the hill is around a blind corner and if you have never driven that road before the hill comes unexpected and this could have happened to YOU too. This thread is for DECEMBER SNOW CONDITIONS in McBride not for bashing peeps about their driving habbits

We were jacknifed on the road infront of this trailer.... this is the reason why he stopped... asked to see if we were alright... we said yes and there was enough room for him to get by so he tried to keep going and it was all over...

yes if i ever go back to bell i will be parking at the lower parking lot unless the road is plowed down to gravel.

There was a ford ranger loaded up with trailer and everything that made it to the top... out truck had M/T tires on it so it is crap in the snow... those will be coming off asap and getting some good snow tires on it.

A nice big snowstorm rolled in overnight. It's a whiteout with lots of snow coming down. Temperature is still hovering around the zero mark. All you guys coming out here the next couple of days will need to drive safe. The roads around Mount Robson can get really nasty in a big hurry.

Holy crap. There is alot of snow up there. In some places it was chest deep and more. Still snow hard when we left, what a good day. Except for the heavy snow and no vis.
