Well they knew they were in trouble and they didn't die.ya.. Time to step off of the soapbox Lund. They were inexperienced and did what they saw was best at the time. Let me guess, you had years of experience BEFORE you started snowmobiling? When you started sledding in the mountains, there was no such thing as 4 ft fluff miles past the entrance. Heck, most didn't make it to the entrance 40 years ago...
It's better than S&R looking for some people lost or dead on the hill.
Good to see it all turned out with a good ending, Some valuable lessons have been learned for these people... but not from ones hindsightful preaching.
So I would say they made some good choices.
