My first time in Mexico. Cabo San Lucas.

Any great things to do or stay away from?

Watch out for time share sales

I tried selling snow and an igloo to them a few years ago.

Walk the marina and Cabo Wabo bar.

Rent a sxs and ride along the ocean.

Go to honeymoon beach and divorce beach.

Great place... Hopefully going back in the fall. The marina area and all the bars is cool. U have to go to cabo wabo, which is Sammy Hagar's bar, and try the tequila. Deep see fishing is awesome there. Obviously the arch, and honeymoon and divorce beaches. Good sand rail and quad ding just outside of town. Gilligans bar is cool. A trip to San Jose for shopping and the old town centre is a good tour. Lots to do down there

Watch the monster shore breaks, depending on the time of year, those waves can snap you in two. Youll hear them crashing if bad. I think they have some bad rip tides to watch for if in the water.

Its pretty Americanized there, marina, downtown bars and restaurants, beach bars are good. Water taxis are an easy way to get around.

Sorry to hear... Should have asked earlier... Lol.... By the way, there is a cool glass blowing shop that does tours close to the downtown core ... It was quite interesting.............. So tell us, did u do any of the suggestions?

I think he means leaving for Cabo in two days.... could be wrong tho!

Not sure if it is still there but see if you can find the Shrimp Factory. They boil the days catch fresh and sell it by the kilo. Owned by a Canadian who married a local woman.

the gigiling marlin bar is a good time in the evenings as well as cabo wabo great tequila to bad sammy doesnt own the tequila any more only the bar
if you are going in the markets wait until there are no cruise ships as the prices are always jacked up more when the ships are in port
pretty much all of the beaches have some pretty nasty rip tides that try to pull you out

Where are you staying? X2 on fishing!! Its better to fish out of San Jose del Cabo(not as busy and no shops or sales douches) as Gordo Banks is east of there and if your leave from CSL its another hour each way to get there in da boat. Dont charter a big boat, take a Panga, get seasick pills from any phamacia and pop one the night before... Tell Alberto I say hola! Lol If you are downtown San Jose eat at Heradero, so good, grab a whole 6 pack of Modelo Especial from the cooler at the entrance! We also took a little bus up through Todos Santos where The Eagles wrote Hotel California, the song will make much more sense when you see it haha! We went up to La Paz and swam with Whale Sharks too. Im jealous! Looking forward til we can go visit again! I want to drive there some day!

Check out Squid Row bar, cool place, really gets rockin at night.A large part of the bar is open to the sky. Was spring break when we were there, had a couple young girls jump up onto our table of 6 and danced a bit until one of our wives noticed they were not wearing any undies under the short skirt! Cabo Wabo was packed the nite we were there. Saw Sammy the next morning at his gift shop, couldnt get to close to him as he had 4 huge body guards with him. Hotel California in Todos Santos was cool as Joholio says,the song falls into place! Lots of nice boats in the marina, the security guards there were packing shotguns! Shoreline on the west side was extremely rough, wouldnt even think of going out there, east side was ok but the water was a little cloudy. Did a sunset cruise one night that was nice, wife had to help me off the boat, dont know if it was the open bar or the motion of the ocean, haha. Good memories

Been there many times , one of our faves .....all the info above is good . It's a safe , wonderful spot ! Take the atv ride up a la Paz ...the ocean views are surreal .
lots of great hole in the wall bars / eateries that are great !
Cabo Wabo is crazy priced , but a load of fun ....as said Squid row was just crazy !!

watch out for the time share sellers / about the only down side ...there are some nices beaches to swim with less riptide too...
ask the locals...the sunset cruise is a must / great band and sunset views !

we rented a jeep and drove up the coast to todas santos as well neat gimmick on the hotel california except that according to the eagles they were never there
if you are in san jose del cabo there is a sweet little roof top sports bar in the downtown area great place to go watch hockey
the owner i believe is from edmonton
