I bought a Runva 11000 lb. winch out of Toronto. This one is portable. It can attach to the trailer hitch at the back of the truck. Has anybody bought a Runva winch? If so what do You think of them? Thanks for any feedback on these winches.

Thanks for the headup. Does anybody know if I have to upgrade my alternator. I run 2 Optima Batteries on my truck. I will be using it to pull trees out of the bush for firewood & for emergencies, probably run it for two minutes or 3 minutes, then give my electrical system a break then run it again for 2 minutes. Just reading the specs tells me it draws a lot of amps. Thanks once again.

Read what your manual says for duty cycles. That is the determining factor in keeping a winch in good working order. Then get yourself a snatch block.

Tried pulling firewood with a winch a few times. It'll do it, but you're way better off to just get some cable and a snatchblock and pull it out of the bush with your truck. A winch is agonizingly slow for pulling firewood.
