What kind of bet is that? If we win he gets smoked salmon and if you win your mayor gets lobster?? Doesn't sound like a fair bet to me, who the hell elected this idiot as mayor??

Congrats to all the boston peeps!! Was an extremely hard fought series. And Tim Thomas did an amazing job in net for the bruins. He has set a new record for the most saves in the post season. It was great to see the ref's just let em play in the final game seven.

Boston brought it tonight. Good for them. Thomas should bring home a lot of hardware this year. Backstopped the whole team!

The better team showed up tonight and won the game. Congrads to them and good on Thomas for being such an outstanding goalie. I sure wish these riots did not take place.

Life does not get any better than this, not only did the Bruins come out and play, they shut down the much vaunted Canucks offense and PP. What a fantastic win!!:first:

Congrats to the Canucks for an excellent season, it just wasn't in the cards for you this year!:beer:

Congrats to the Bruins, I tip my hat at Tim Thomas, unbelievable, the unconventional man is a wall. It wasn't for the lack of trying, Vancouver outshot Boston 246-225, just couldn't beat the man. Recchi retires a 3 time champ with 3 different teams, now that's a career and going out on top to boot!!!!
Hopefully, there will be a rematch next year!!!!

Every city has it's idiots... But seriously your trying to downplay the Vancouver situation by pointing out that Boston police arrested 7 people after the buins wone the cup???? Edmonton police arrest at least 7 every time the oilers win...15 if it's against calgary...

arrests have been down the past couple years... :)

No, Recchi said before the finals started that if the Bruins win the cup that he would retire. He confirmed that last night after the game.

As an aside, Boston has a few idiots of their own.

I'm not trying to downplay anything, I simpy posted a link about some idiotic Bruins fans. Some people here like to compare a half dozen looney Bruins fans to the thousands that rioted in Vancouver, saying that Boston is just as bad. I just don't see it myself.
