And IF Boston had put 1 in the net in game 1 or 5 instead of hitting the posts we wouldn't be having this conversation and the Cup would be in Boston already. But it ain't and we have a game 7 so let it go already.

Screaming 'Faker' and 'We want the cup' when there is an injured player on the ice is a true testament to the level of class and sportsmanship evident in Boston...true sportsmen would NEVER behave that way...They'd remain quiet, respectful and cheer when the player rises either on his own steam, or with help. Now we hear he's out 4-6 MONTHS on a 'legal hit'!!!! It was a rather LATE hit, was it not? It was a lot later than the 1 second Rome was late for, on his Horton hit...and I recognize that Rome's hit WAS late...but was Raymond playing the puck? Was it in his possession? Was he NOT being interfered with??? Again no call...The blatant miscalls (or no calls) in this series will be it's legacy. Nothing to be proud of NHL...and as for you Boston fans...spend some time in other cities...where you might learn respect...for the players and the fans!!!! But somehow, I doubt it.

was there on injured player on the ice? Anyway, maybe I am being a bit harsh in comparison but just tired of hearing that only Vancouver plays cheap and dirty. Cheers to a great game 7 :beer:

You tell me how this cannot be an intentional hit to injure when it looks that boychuck has his hands on raymond's shoulders and knows he is in a very bulnerable position. Here's the link watch full screen slowmo..

Raymond suffered vertebrae compression fracture - 2011 Stanley Cup Final - Canucks v Bruins

Well i guess that the players now know that they can hit in a way that it fractures vertubrates and wont even get a penalty. And they wonder why in kids hockey people are getting injured..

Don cherry made a good point the other day. They should get rid of all this new fancy protective gear and go back to the older style gear. That way you thought twice about nailin a guy really hard becuase you were gonna feel it to or on some of these hits hits like he said the one dishin it out probably would've been injured also. So what it would do is make alot of these players think twice about some of the hits if there was some possible reprecussion for them.

I never said he touched the puck...but he was playing the puck and was already engaged with boychuck....boychuck simply finished the hit....they were both sliding into the boards. I don't like seeing guys hurt, but if your going to get in arms about that play let's talk about the icing hit from vancouver....that was intent to injure....even cherry called it....

I'd be careful about calling a win before the game is even played. Boston hasn't lost a series clinching game in the playoffs and they are due for a road victory.;)

If ever there was an intent to injure, it was the hit on Peverley by Edler. Instead of going after the puck he goes after Peverley, a dirty play if there ever was one. Read it and weep.

Rule 81, paragraph 3. Any contact between opposing players while pursuing the puck on an icing must be for the sole purpose of playing the puck and not for eliminating the opponent from playing the puck. Unnecessary or dangerous contact could result in penalties being assessed to the offending player.

Ok, enough whining from me now.:d

I agree about the hit on beverly but when the ref's let it go with an intent hit like boychuck's it sends a message tto he players that they aren't going to call that stuff. And guess what if beverly had been injured the nuck would've got suspended for it. Go figure. Boychuck didn't even try to slow down when he knew that the hit would injure raymond.

It's a little late to be careful!!! lol
I throw caution to the wind....I predict Canucks in 7 in second overtime and kesler scores it at 5:08 right after thomas stops sedin on a breakaway!!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

We will see how that game play's out. Horton was the one who scored the past 2 game 7 game winning goals. And also loungo's gga at home is .067 for the playoffs.
