in the chute where the Axis claws its way over, Niel states on his FB page that the T3 failed to make that chute, the Axis works very well

i wouldn't know, i haven't really gotten to ride my 872 due to having issues. but now its running again well see. I am inclined to say you are probably correct. Im pretty interested in this and wouldn't mind trying one out. If i have to do any more modifications i think something along the lines of this may be my next route. BUT well see how my bb performs.

872 turbo!

I love these comments. Was it the same guy riding both sleds? I know guys who can pull hills on stock 155's that I couldn't on a turbo'd 174 with a 3 inch. So rider ability is the biggest thing. 2 different sleds with 2 different riders on the same chute means nothing to me. IMO

He swapped on one unit that he had a backfire Fred when it ran out of fuel. Blew the reeds right out with the lean backfire he told me.

I paid 5300 for my 872 installed with the clutching to go with it, this kit being 5700 installed ready to rip i would say definitely gives the 872 a run for its money.

holy mackeral man id say thats the most expensive 872 i ever heard of i paid $2950 American for mine with the exchange was just under $3500 and thats with a new ballanced crank seems like a very expensive install you ended up with (or did u get a new crank installed aswell?)

This is peer speculation but I would imagine it is the intercooled unit......also pure speculation but I would bet even money your trygstad bb wouldn't keep up with a well tuned low boost kit......

i dunno how many hp the low boost kit would give you but at elevation it should beat a big bore but i think what he was getting at was it gives it a run for it money as in COST more so than refering to who will win a race

The non intercooled kit flat out rips for 4lbs of boost. There's no way an 872 will hold a candle to it and I've seen some good running 872's out there.

i had got the team set up with mine as well and install and thats what it came out to. But yea my point is cost wise...

yes i figured it should beat an 872 especially at elevation but no one said the 872 would win a race i believe what mountainsledmania was sayin is that the price would give the 872 a run for its money as in more people will be getting a low boost kit instead of a BB if the prices are gonna be that close
