I emailed MTNTK with some questions and some of the questions on here.... will post once I hear back from them...
Like this option, really clean, and not having to touch the ecm is nice

I've been wondering about that - is it better to have a plug in system that works along side the ECM or better to tune direct to the ECM?? I know on Cats and Cummins that we direct tune vs my Ford or Dodge that's piggy backed with a programmer - the programmer is way more reliable..

Electronics on these sleds and turbos is so important.. Cover that and you've got a winner from what i've seen on the Doo's..

The kits that have the ecm tuned are usually the better versions. mtntk polaris, silber polaris, thats why they ran so well. The silber 850 doo runs pretty freakin clean and crisp. Im curious to see more information on what mtntk is using for this kit. I find it kind of weird they dont have any info out on it, im starting to wonder if this kit is new enough it hasnt been on the snow yet

Any manufacturers ECU will out perform a piggyback controller by far. Way more advanced and powerful, not even in the same category. In the auto world they're not piggyback controllers but rather a flash device. Used to reflash the ecm and possibly act as a gauge for monitoring. Not required to b plugged in for the vehicle to run. In the snowmobile world it's a piggyback system that runs in conjunction with the ECM and does not reflash anything, required to be plugged in at all times. Performance is only as good as who wrote the file for that ECM, not the ECM.

Not quite ,chatted with the guys at mtntk and the lowest elevation it was tested was 4000ft , not saying it won’t work at lower elevation but that is what it

Should not be an issue from 2300 feet on the trail, if you want to rip across a lake at home mix in some race fuel is all that will be needed.

We are working on getting a Skidoo kit asap so we can have one on the snow early as possible, Yes this is a new turbo kit from MTNTK so you will not see any vids on the net.

No I will not be riding one lol, because I cant ride one... fact. MTNTK builds one of the most reliable turbo kits on the market today and do not release anything until it has been tested.

As soon as I have more first hand info I will post what I have.

I want to touch on mtntk being one of the most reliable turbo kits on the mountain for a second.
So, we all are aware here that mtntk was one of the first companies to come out with ecm based tuning for their turbo kits through a bullydog tuner platform witch was specific to the polaris and polaris only. Im my mind they were the pioneers of ecm tuning for the 2 stroke turbo market, in fact they had theirs before silber did. That is why they ran so darn well. What im confused about now is that mtntk is claiming that their kits are better then the rest because they DONT use ecm tuning but a form of piggy back controller ( not sure yet cause theirs no information available) which it seems we are trying to get away from because we know for a fact the best running turbos are ones with the ecm's programmed. If you look at their axys 850 kit they still program the ecm... but for the skidoo they use a piggy back and claim it to be better because your not modifying the factory control systems. This makes no sense to me what so ever? If in fact they are using a piggy back fuel control system then that would mean that a silber kit would be superior in the run ability department over mtntk solely based on the ecm flash. Im not sure why mtntk doesnt want to pay up to have an engineer hack the ecm for them, if they did they would be the top contending kit. Just my .02$

who knows, my assumption is people are going to think im trying to stir the pot cause im brand loyal or something along those lines. Im not, i just spend ALOT of time working on / building/ maintaining and riding turbo 2 strokes and you know just as well as i do when they are on point they are so awesome. Im just a bit skeptical on how this kit is so hush hush, who knows maybe it will be the best on the market, or maybe not its all speculation at this point

I was researching both kits before I decided to go silber. It wasn't till they posted pics of it that I made my decision. It looks cheap But not cheap at over 4g's. I'm sure that little 2554r turbo is gonna spool real fast but bring some extra heat with it. It's a good possibility that it'll run flawlessly and hope it does. My silber kit might b a pile of garbage, never owned or ridden one. Time will tell..
But I'm sure if skidoo, polaris or cat ever releases a factory 2stroke turbo it won't come with a piggyback controller!

One thing I do know is that I have never heard anything negative about Chrisco...he should be a reliable source and if legend holds true give a straight up breakdown of the goods. And you’re right.when they are on point good luck replacing that kind of fun.
