you gotta torque wrench Rowdy ? If not I can bring one in tommorow , gotta be in the city tommorow evenin

No I don't have a torque wrench but I have hot yoga tonight so tonight I won't be wrenching on her. Thanks for the offer though! I'm hoping my friend Rob can help me tomorrow night because I REALLY want to get her done and ready to ride for the weekend. Getting antsy.

head bolt torque - 21 ft/lbs retorque after first ride. very important.

thats about the only torque you need to know thanks to a shortblock already being done

I have the shop manual so I was hoping it'd say the torque specs in there. Still have to torque on the flywheel.

basically ride for 10 mins then hit the kill switch, let it cool down...repeat a few times

Thanks Slut...That makes MUCH more sense!

So no working on my sled today, but tomorrow night hopefully I can get some help to torque a few things and start hooking stuff back up. I think my friend Rob said he can come by. Fingers crossed!! Want to get out and shred this weekend.

Still have grease all over my arms, no amount of scrubbing would get it off, lol. Oh well, gonna be greasy again in another day. All the yogas snobs at my yoga class can just think I'm dirty...don't matter to me. Last class I was there my gf and I (both not the people you'd expect in yoga) saw on my yoga band said "Do it now" needless to say the rest of the class was spent saying Arnold one liners and giggling while we got dirty looks from everyone else... :D

Your going to be heat sync it anyway when you check for leaks and antifreese level, a warm shop with lots of light helps.

haha I WISH I had the money to just keep buying them. I do love working on it though. Then I don't feel like such a moron and can contribute to the inevitable conversations that happen at the cabin and over dinner about all of the stuff I don't understand :p

Ok kick boxing time! Whoop!

i buy and fix then sometimes sell the sleds..i only have three runners and two dnrs right now. wife told me if i hit ten sleds i have to buy a new bedroom suite.

i use the extra cash from wrenching to feed the addiction, started off 4 years ago with a quad i bought for 50bucks.. got two ok sleds now. trying to start over again.. so if you know anybody with a cheap quad i want to see if its luck or if its worth doing

haha I won't even tell you what I paid. it'd be mean lol

I bet i still got a better deal, bought mine from the West-end location.:d Helps to have family in the buiz....:d

The reed cage bolts will cut their own threads in the new jugs, I've done it lots.

Personally i tapped mine before hand using a tap, have seen the odd bolt breakoff from fatigue. Both with work thou, just go easy.

Looks like it's coming along good, you should be very proud of yourself.

can't believe these clowns want you do suck the oil out, where did they learn mechanics?

Everyone on here has only tried to help, there hasn't been any name calling until you showed up.

My credentials in technical and mechanical are impecable with all the license's I hold.

In your mind I'm sure you are convinced you know more that any certified engineer in mechanical design and oil viscosity.

Enough said!
