Glad to see someone else is wondering about the post. I'm not a smart man, but I think the point is you should not go in a hot tub in valemont, or a pool, or anywhere else for that matter. And what are you doing in valemont, snowmobiling? You know what happens to sledders in the mountains. And don't drive there either to look at the scenery, people die in car crashes in the winter in the mountains. And don't eat chicken wings(choking). Think I got everything. Let round two of the online bashing begin.

Would you rather just the one place take note of the possible issues arising due to dirty hot tubs.... IMO, I want ALL hotels, motels, cabins, ANYONE THAT PROVIDES A SERVICE SUCH AS THIS, should take it as an eye opener that maybe they should drian and completely clean, JUST BECAUSE THIS HAPPENED..... these vague posts are what annoys me about forums on the net. You've just painted all the places to stay in valemount with the same brush. You need to get all the facts before you post things. Where'd they stay? Name of the virus? How long before the went to the doctor? Was anyone else sick?

You haven't told us anything more than your friend is sick in the hospital in a coma. That's a pretty serious condition for there not to be a serious investigation.

Yes i sound skeptical but think about all the places you affect in small towns like valemount by saying stuff like this. There are some very hard working people that will have there livelihoods affected by this vague post.

All the complaining and whining doesn't surprise me. I hear and read it all the time. It is just like Grooming 101; everyone has an opinion and can do it better than the groomer operator.

In this case it is Circled-Mistake thinking he is doing a service and being proactive and informative. But everyone jumps all over him because he should of done this or should have done that......everybody has an opinion and everyone has to express it with no concern for the thought process. Whatever happened to the good old days......boy this world is changing ever since the younger generation learned to type and found there were no consequences.

My wife had surgery at the Misericordia Community Hospital a year ago this month. We were talking to one of the nurses about this because my wife likes hot tubs. We got a real eye opener with this. The nurse also worked in the Infectious Disease Ward and had many a story about hot tubs. For starters, the main problem is not knowing how to blend your chemicals the right way. This intern makes for the perfect breeding ground for these nasty little critters A strong chlorine odour is a good sign to think twice about a soak or a swim. Hot tubs and pools in any hotel in any town or city are susceptible to these problems. All it takes is a small paper cut and your world could be turned upside down real fast. So if you want a real education on this matter go to the Infectious Disease Ward at your local hospital and the truth will scare the hell out of you...I promise.



Our thoughts and prayers are with this man, his family, and friends for a full and healthy recovery.

If anyone else has contracted this virus please add to this post and notify everyone that was at VALEMOUNT BC over the christmas hilodays to get checked
It may just seem like the flu for 3 or 4 days but you could be on life support in 7 days like Greg is now.

I think I was understood wrong. I wasn't trying to say your friend didn't get sick or you you were lying. It's obvious now with new evidence you were never lying or BSing. I'm just trying to point out that when people post only part of the facts it can get taken wrong and people will go right off the deep end with it. Small towns need all the support we can give them or they turn into ghost towns.

Sorry to hear about your friend but at least they say they have a treatment for it.

All the facts will come out soon. This and any other town can have the same problems. Lets not get on a anti-Valemount thing again. Like mentioned all thru this thread small towns need visitors. This place will be found, if not already and changes will be made. The different health aggencies are already on it I would think. Be carefull out there whereever you go to vacation.
