sorry to hear, hope your bud recovers. not sure what the joke is in the thread..
maybe pass on some more details, as in what the virus is called/does etc, maybe some symptoms/timeframe etc etc... inform the folks of what's out there, maybe it'll help someone, or a bunch of people for that matter. I'm with Maxwell, thought the sh!t that's added to them is supposed to stop that kinda thing?

It only stops it if added properly, mid week/weekly.and also tested.Im sure it would only take a few people who didnt scrub there nuts for a week never mind soaps, lotions to mess up a small hot tub.

I also never go into hot tubs at places like this. The amount of guys that come off the hill and just right into the hot tub all sweaty and use it like there bath tub is sickening. Shower before you go in. When you see all that foam on the top of the water that usually isn't a good sign.

interesting. never heard of this before. i figured they dumped so many chemicals in there it would kill everything.

ya thats "IF" they dump the "expensive" chemicals in all the time.... all comes down to who manages the tub,,, kinda like when the hotel maid wipes up the toilet then wipes of the sink beside ur toothbrush,,,,,,some pretty nasty chit in hotels,,, ohh and ask them the last time they washed the bed duvet??? most places once a year they just wash the sheets so never lay on those nice duvet covers lmfao... so sick

eek.

im pretty sure pools and hottubs fall under some pretty tight regulations as far as proper care goes. if this one actually is below standard wont be long before it dissapears.

sorry to hear about your friend and hope he gets better and recovers without any serious damage. As a industrial hygienist I stay away from hot tubs and prefer the inferred sauna. Hot Tubs are a perfect breeding ground for bacteria and fungi , we're finding even the clean ones have traces. some bacteria and fungi has become resilient to chlorine and chemicals.

These vague posts are what annoys me about forums on the net. You've just painted all the places to stay in Valemount with the same brush. You need to get all the facts before you post things. Where'd they stay? Name of the virus? How long before the went to the doctor? Was anyone else sick?

You haven't told us anything more than your friend is sick in the hospital in a coma. That's a pretty serious condition for there not to be a serious investigation.

Yes I sound skeptical but think about all the places you affect in small towns like Valemount by saying stuff like this. There are some very hard working people that will have there livelihoods affected by this vague post.

actualy thats the best part about forums,, you get a third party point of view and many other then I get to make my own decision instead of the govenment telling me they do health inspections...

p.s. maybe read his post saying he doesnt want to bash a hotel as of yet without all the information,,,,

stay on ur porn sites they dont talk back unless you pay there bud!!!!

It would be nice to have a little more info. What is the virus? What kind of symptoms to look for? Was this at a B&B or a Hotel in Valemont?
I know I'm heading there on Wed and would love to hit the hottub after riding but now??? Am I at a safe place or not?

I know some friends that have gone in the tubs before and come out with red bumps all over. But never heard of anyone going into a COMA. Hope they can can your friend back up and riding again.
