Been on skidoo for last several years currently have a 17 850 154x3 but kinda tired of the skidoo bs. Thinking its time to try something dif has anybody got to try the khaos yet it kinda caught my eye. Looking at the 155x2.6 but dont no much about polaris and no one in the crew had the new 850 to get the new feel of the polaris 850 motor.

Cant answer your question, but coming from doo as well I ordered a khaos. The fact that they made the axys chassis more playful was a win for me. The doo has an awesome motor, but small gas tank, big boards, fixed secondary and a horrible mounting system for the engine, big bulky hood n airbox. These are all issues the Polaris does not have, plus its 40lbs lighter. So just do it:)

Isn't the khaos basically a chittier rmk? Hangs the skis all over the place like the wheelie king Doo?

More playful does not necessarily mean wheelie machine. If you look at the khaos attack angle it is no where near the doo. Plus if you suck up the limit strap and stiffen the rear springs the doo is a lot better than stock

Throw up some ride reports then. When I read the release it sounded like a longer front skid arm to make it more playful aka wheelies

I haven't ridden the Khaos, but some of your thought process isn't wrong. The rails are a different profile, and the limiter is lengthened to drop the skid down more. The result is a little more track pressure and taking weight off the skis, which makes the sled more playful. There will be some resulting wheelie but its a trade off. Many of us already run a ton of track shock pressure on the Axys to get that playful feeling, some more than others. I really enjoyed going back to the 155 this year, constantly working towards where I ended off with my suspension settings I absolutely believe the Khaos will appeal to many people though for those who are not used to how the Axys 155 performs already it might be hit and miss at first.

Personally a more playful 155, or even 163 Axys is welcomed. The ability of the 155 to pop up and over obstacles because of the wheelies is what I enjoyed most this year and I felt I put the 155 into situations where I would have not succeeded with on my prior sleds, granted I am not 225+ pounds and you do need to ride with a certain level of throttle commitment. I never thought I would go back to a 155 but last season every time I was on one I enjoyed it, this year being on one full time makes for a difficult decision as I can only have one sled at one time. The days where I wanted more track were obviously deeper days and stopped pointing straight up because there was no way out to the sides and watching 174's climb up from a standstill but they are far and few between as most days you can throttle out of most situations but I guess you can always poach a track if it was do or die.

The Khaos sounded dumb to me at first and the way it was released didn't reveal how it was going to be an improvement until I looked at it closer and talked to guys who had ridden it.

This is exactly what im debating aswell ride the skud till jan then start shopping for a khaos or just drop the cash and snowcheck one the dealer seemed pretty honest with any issues they have had with the 18 850 patriot motors and inalso talked to the service manager to see if the warrenty is easy to navigate or if they will shaft me like brp polaris also has the 50 deductable like skud and warrenty starts dec1st no matter what day u pick sled up. Also summer is approaching and my new moomba max could use a upgraded stereo wife said one or the other

There is so many good sleds out there at the 10g price point right now, that i cant justify getting a brand new sled next year.

But they sure do look nice! Decisions

Just curious on how they got to the $16735, I just built one with all black, tunnel and rails, no estart, and no fancy gauge and its $15837. I guess if they have a high freight and set up fee or went with the fancy gauge which is meh....

The other option is IceAge is releasing their own rails with the Assault profile. You could pick up an in season and swap out the front track shock, limiter and rails. Though everything I have been told is the new WE Velocity shocks are better than the base model Raptor shocks.

I think I’ll see how they play out next year and start looking mid season... shocks that are an actual upgrade and more ski lift than previous models is a win in my books!

Most dealers i phoned were 17340 or sumtin plus taxes thats for khaos with 1554x2.6 pidd gauge red/white combo with black tunnel and white rails only two dealers would knock any money off that price and one being the 16735

Ah PIDD gauge. Couldn’t remember what it was called. It’s a nice but I never look at my gauge for anything more than temp and sometimes rpm. Too expensive for what it is.

That sled comes out to $17700ish with the PIDD so at 16735 it isn’t bad pricing if it’s only tax on top and not plus freight/pdi which most dealers are $600+ on those two items. Mainjet in Nelson was including a cover and belt, jug of oil and spare plugs with any SpringCheck. Cover and belt alone is a nice perk.

Other than it being a nicer looking display, it shows your remaining break in period which is only useful during break in, it gives you a more interactive engine temp and voltage faults to give you more warning, the gps function, you can lock your sled with a pin # but I pretty sure you just unplug the gauge and it starts, so yeah it’s basically $1000 it doesn’t do a whole heck of a lot more. Anyone coming off a G4 Doo would be happy with the standard Polaris display.
