850 tracks

with all the trouble of paddles flying off these skidoo tracks has anyone tried putting them on backwards
contemplating this with one of ours that is starting to show cracks at the base of all the outer lugs

Slow down on the trail, these tracks don't like getting hot. My riding partner had 1900Km on a boosted 850 175" without an issue.

trail is hard on em if u drive fast but I think the timber riding is taking it toll also

Ive had 3 850"s A 17-19-20 totalling about 6800km and never had an issue with belts or tracks and I ride lots of trees. I try to stay under 70 km on trail.

Wifes 3 inch on her xm is bulletproof, i started spitting middle lugs at 1000kms on my 17 154x3 now a few others who have lost luggs pretty early in life aswell. Not the biggest fan on the 3s pretty paper thin

i have run a lot of tracks backwards. Never had a problem. mostly flip them when the paddles start to curl.

that said, not a G4 track yet. personally youll be fine.

ya there are lot of lugs starting to split or crack or seperate from the belting but only on the flexed side so
thinking maybe flip it around and get another 4000ks outta it

These tracks won't take high speed on the trails. They build heat and start coming apart. There is even a warning to keep speeds slower on ice or hard pack trails in the Operator Manual.

Lost 3/4” of a lug and a bit a delaminating around it. Patch it good to go so far.

Sucks, but yeah it is also more than riding fast, when you are doing 50 miles per hour, the track is actually going much faster than that around the drivers and rear wheels. So much so that in slow motion the paddles actually bend backwards and then are launched forward , which is very hard on them especially when the trail is firm. Why is this a hit or miss problem? The depth of the paddle into the ground makes the biggest difference here. and no one check this, if the track sits in the snow half way, no big deal, but when it is in only 1/4 or less, this specifically is very hard on the lug and with speed it is very hard on the lugs. The answer is slowing down and being aware. cheers dave

Maybe a better solution to a cold hard packed groomed trail is what the guy in Sicamous did yesterday. Drove their truck to km 16 on the groomed Owlhead trail to unload and go riding. No paddles were chucked off. lol

I don't know. I never saw them buy still can't believe they went that far on a groomer. Crazy

I've ordered a camso 9433M, which is the non oem equivalent for about $500 less. Should be in the next few days. The feedback I've heard is the the composit is far too stiff a durometer and is a poor performer in the pow.

In contrast, my 2.5" xm has about 12k on it and has maybe one cracked paddle. Same riding style, same snow.

yes 4-5k kms seems about there lifespan
we have always been gentle on the trails but not so much in the timber and backcountry whoopin

How many km do you have on your 850? Thats an impressive amount on your xm.

Got 9000km on my t3 track . Not nice to it at all run it 110 kph all the time on the trail. Its pretty much done now .still has all of the paddles its the body of the track separated.

My old t3174 had 8200 km on it, no lugs gone, track still good to go

My 14 xmx 163 2.5, has 11000 km on it, same thing, chit that sled still has the original sliders in it

Scratchers and below 80 km, makes a big difference
