In them hills.
Wow you got lots to say today don't you. HaHa! No I don't feel its to fast but I'm just telling you what I hear and what I see in the manual so take a breath man. I'm just the messenger
I aimed for that this year, mine never had any cracks.

This must be like the 2017/2018 g4 for where only 1% of the most aggressive trail riders are having problems.

I run about 50km on the trail for an average and my track looks new but I don't have the kms some of these guys have either

How many km did you get ? Maybe dealer will say backing off deck to fast lol

1000km. Anyone who has rode with me has always seen me let my sled down off the deck without me on it.

Im not worried about my dealer, I know they will do what they can. Its BRP I don’t trust to help out.

Norona had a good explanation that when you ride to fast on hard packed trails the paddle whips around the rear axle and rips at the base.

There is zero chance you will get warranty, brp doesn't seem to care that this track has the same reliability as a roll of single ply toilet paper.

Ahh no.
Im fully aware of how fragile and expensive this track is. I limit my speed on the trail. Overheating is a BS response now that I see the actual paddle cracking on the backside extending vertical.

Whats the difference between 50mph on a trail, or 60mph poaching a track in the mtns? Better not turn the HP up on the turbo than. Lol

My track has not been abused .

I did the exact same speed with my 19, and it had no issues like I’m seeing on this track.

Maybe it is time for BRP to do some quality control on their vendors. My 20 expert 165 is all cracked up and upon closer inspection the rubber around the lugs are no thicker then 1mm thick and there is no reinforcement on the lugs to hold them to the corded ply. Imagine building a tower and not tying in the structure to the foundation- that is what camso is doing with these 3” lug tracks

This is the rubber thickness behind the lugs.

Here it looks like the lug is glued (green dots) to the corded ply then vulcanized in place. How do they expect these lugs to actually stay attached to the track??

Also if you measure the track thickness it varies from 4mm thick to 7mm thick - shouldn’t it be consistent? All my lugs are cracked where the track is thinnest- no surprise.

Skidoo says no warranty because track speed exceeded speed- which they have not told me what speed that is.
I have had a 17 850 154 and 165 - both no track issues and a 18 850 175 with no issues and now the 20 165 is falling apart riding the same areas - seems like that is a quality control issue with manufacturing.

we did that at 2500 kms and by 4000 they start to fly off
we keep our speed down on the groomed trails slow enough for the guys on 800 xms to wonder whats taking us so long
Fill the cracks with loctite 401 to stop them from propagating.

i also think they need to go after vendor's poor quality and bonding as far as im concerned

Just put the 3rd track on. Gave up on the gluing/sealing ages ago as I'm convinced it does nothing.

Take a look at the track where the rear wheels are. You can actually see them bulging through the belting. Certainly can’t help the delam issue. Some larger, wider wheels may be in order to spread the weight a little better.

What was your average trail speed?

It's not even that far into allen ;)

I hope you guys can get someone at BRP to listen.

I have a hard time believing CKMP isn't going through a ton of tracks.

I tried to keep it under 80kmh all season and really limited spinning on any hard pack. I thought my track looked great for 2500km but upon further inspection there is issues when you start looking at it closely in good light. Therefor no matter how careful you are your going to have issues. I don’t feel I could have been any easier on this track. I tried really hard to keep it in good condition.

I recently talked to a guy who was told the lugs are breaking off because of Ice build up on the tunnel by the top idler brackets. The lugs are being forcibly bent past said ice causing them to fail. Looking at the above picture of greenthumb’s 3 rd track, This might be a plausible idea as Its all the outer edge lugs that are missing. Hhmmmmm. Maybe. Just spitballing.

While I don't disagree that ice buildup is an issue, I don't think its the root cause. On the 'good' lugs, there is no abnormal wear on the outside edge of the lugs. Cracking at the base is widespread, not just the outer edge. The damage to the center row isn't as extensive as the outers, but it is still there. G4 icing is nothing compared to the XM and my old Yamaha that had an X3.

I don't claim to be 'easy' on my track, but I also don't think I'm abusive. Pin and wiggle is definitely a technique that gets used occasionally. :D
That said, I have never caused such consistent damage to any track, ever.

I do feel this maybe a issue for I was riding and we stopped for approx 20 min and when we took off again the sound and feel I stopped to look and the ice build up was really flexing the paddles, also some ice got wedged up front and was bending the paddles. The ice build up was flexing the paddles extremely
I'm not fully convinced about speed for when I ride with wildrose shows the trail is usually done at 95-105kmh, with Ron (Rknight) we are generally 85-90kmh and I'm not having the issues some are having but one thing is I am not pinning the throttle on the hard pack, scratchers down always(no flap) just take it a little more easy, I could see hard pack and pinning throttle being more of issue. With looking at some others tracks imo possible the tracks need to be viewed by brp for possibly issues besides blaming operators for speed.
Another thought is sled decks, are people putting sleds on 7 foot decks and look at the pressure on paddles then bouncing down the hi-way? Or are the ones having issues a good mix with long enough decks or trailers?
Caper treats his sled good on the trails and loading and unloading, but drives and rides hard in the pow but yet look at the pics of his sleds track, interesting to hear what brp says on that one .

Was there much difference in price between the camso track and the BRP track?

I was quoted $1400, $1450 & $1500 for the 9433M. List on the BRP is $1715, although I know it can be had for less.
So not much cheaper, but wanted to try non BRP. As far as I can tell, the small windows is the only difference. Durometer feels about the same.
