I heard at my dealer today that mbrp, dynoport, etc are having a hard time developing a can for this engine. I'm definately keeping my stock suitcase until there is a proven can out on the market.
Pretty stoked proud new owner of a white copper 163 with vin 0001

After taking the muffler and pipe off my sled to put the belly on it, I'm hoping to only take my muffler off one more time to put the can on and that's it. Such a pain to get at.

talking with baker last night. mbrp thought they had a can that worked, started to send them out and had a few sleds pull codes, these codes are locked in memory and doo can null warrenty if they want he said... they call back all cans

brp needs to give these guys some help here............. the weight of a stock muffler is almost 18lbs, the stock pipe is almost 12lbs, this is crazy:realmad:

thats a lot of weight over competion right there, my older xp has a combined weight of 13lbs on the exhaust system

talking with rich at dynoport last week, he says there working on it, but not sure if they will have something to be released soon, and found no power gains since there is no fuel controller out there .... sad sad

MBRP supplier told me that after proto test #11 they were starting to build them just this week. All the tests I've read pointed back to MBRP as the one can builder that thoroughly tested their cans to closest to factory pressure and flows. I'd stay with them until I knew the other builders had their product proven, especially on the new e-Tec800.
(pretty fine mapping on this great new engine)
Also, ONLY the newest XPS Synthetic Oil with the advanced injection system.

It's snowing SOMEWHERE!

Talked to mbrp mon night and the can only shaves 9 lbs and was NEVER tested in the mountains!! I think I'm going to wait to see what happens the TSS seem to be the can for the mountain riders, at leas ther are no codes thrown and no negitive comments on it, and weighs 4.5 lbs.

What? That retarded. The sled shed in revy is already producing a thing can for these engines. And they have been testing them too! I know one thing. This sled isn't going to stay this quiet forever.

Straight line performance is advertising a can that only weighs 2.6 pounds for $400. Anyone try one?
